Greer curses as his shot goes wide and bullets fly back.

He ducks behind the open car door and readies himself.
OOC:

Initiative should be 10+2d6, so total is 14.

Rolls

Initiative - (2d6)

(13) = 4

OOC:
I forgot the colonel initiative. Man, I will be sad to see Jabberwocky leave GP, he is a great gamer. PbP is actually quite challenging to keep a game going!

Rolls

Colonol Init - (1d6+10)

(1) + 10 = 11

The decker ducks down behind his bike, he pulls out an SMG and lays suppressive fire at Greer and The Colonel. The Colonel drops to the ground and holds his hand to his head. Greer is safe behind the car as bullets ping against the car body.
OOC:

Creepy 16
Greer 14
Wyvern 9
Colonel 8 (down 3 due to injuries)
I'll post suppressive fire rules in a few minutes.
Apr 15, 2018 4:09 am
OOC:

If Greer wants to shoot at Creepy make a Reaction + Edge Test vs 4 successes. If you don't make it the SMG DV value is 6.

Wyvern is halfway around the Shack right now.

You are both up in initiative.

From the pdf page 179-180
Any character who is in the suppressed area (but not behind cover or prone), or who moves into or out of the area before the end of the suppressive fire, risks catching some flying lead. That character must make a Reaction + Edge Test (+ any dice they may get as a result of choosing to use Full Defense) with a threshold equal to the hits scored by the suppressing attacker. Note that in the
test, you use your full Edge rating, regardless of whether you have spent points during the session (though you do not, of course, use burned Edge points). If the test fails, the character is hit, suffering damage equal to the weapon’s base Damage Value modified by any special ammunition being fired.

Rolls

Suppressive fire - (10d6)

(4626226364) = 41

Apr 16, 2018 10:42 am
Wyvern runs the rest of the way around the shack and peeks at the decker in AR.
OOC:
Are any of his icons visible, or is he running silent?

Rolls

matrix percep. computer 6+intuition3-noise(1) [data 3] - (8d6)

(31253533) = 25

OOC:

Suppression rules are cool, my old games never actually used those rules!
Greer curses as a hail of bullets ping against the car door. He closes his eyes and mentally counts down seconds, waiting for the decker's gun to run empty, preparing to pop up and take his shot.
OOC:

Greer is delaying his action - he's going to pop up from behind the car and take a shot the moment the decker stops firing.
Apr 17, 2018 2:36 am
The decker is running silent on everything but a cyber eye with a smartlink. He continues to spray bullets until he runs dry and starts to reload with a new clip.
Apr 17, 2018 1:38 pm
OOC:

The reload is Greer opportunity!
Like a gopher, Greer pops up from behind the car the moment he hears the cease in gunfire. A breath hisses out from between his teeth as he squeezes the trigger.
OOC:

Since this is a delayed action, I lose a dice on the roll.

If our dear decker friend is also further than 5 meters, I lose a dice for each additional 5 meters out he is.

3 Hits!

"I've got to get one of those," Wyvern mutters softly to herself as she ducks back behind the building and pulls out her deck.
OOC:
Need to look up some stuff. Will post more later.
Apr 18, 2018 12:15 pm
The decker tries to duck behind his bike but the taser darts just graze him.
OOC:

He takes 3 stun. He attempted to dodge but the post was accidently deleted.

Will wait for Marithyme

OOC:
Question: when I did my matrix perception earlier to see if I could see any silent icons, did I see them? Or is his deck actually shut off? The next step would be to try to find them, if they're there. I'll roll that in case my intuition is right. First going to swap out settings on the deck. Still in AR.

Wyvern tries to find the deck but only finds a comm link. It seems the decker has linked his cybereye to his comm.
Apr 20, 2018 12:08 am
"Ok, ok. So you fraggers caught me. Now what?!" Says creepy looking pretty exhausted. He takes his SMG and throws it on the ground.
Apr 20, 2018 3:25 pm
Greer steps up and kicks the SMG further away from the decker.

"Let's go for a little drive. We've got too much attention here.," he says. Greer motions the team to move the decker into the Johnson's car so everyone can go for a little drive.
Apr 20, 2018 11:59 pm
"No, I don't think so." Creepy looks somewhat handsome in real life. He is young in his late 20s. Close cropped blonde hair. "You see, I sent out a signal to my corp. A small subsidiary of Aztecnology. They will be sending a retrieval team shortly."

The Colonel lifts up his rifle and aims at Creepy's head. He belts out loudly"I say we frag this guy here and now. Let the Azzie's retrieval team clean up his corpse."

Wyvern actively observing in the matrix can confirm that Creepy is actively broadcasting something.
OOC:
In meat space Wyvern can see that Creepy has a small holster for what looks like a deck strapped onto his back.
Apr 21, 2018 3:02 am
OOC:
I'm taking some liberties here - let me know if this is kosher or not.

Doing the following knowledge rolls:
1. Knowledge: Corporate Rumors and Rumors: Underground - To figure out who this guy really is and how he is connected to Aztechnology. I guess whichever knowledge suits the info I'm trying to gain better works.

2. Knowledge: Corporate Protocol/b] and [b]Knowledge: Security Protocol - To get an estimate of what kind of extraction/response team Aztechnology will respond with and their ETA. ie: if Greer knows the approximate status of this decker, he can guesstimate how important Aztechnology considers him.

3. Going back to that earlier Knowledge: Corporate Rumor roll - Greer is probably confident that he can sell the information this guy knows or this person to another corp. Especially since this decker probably operates "off-the-books."

Since Greer is basically a knowledgemancer - I'm using his history of corporate espionage, sabotage, and spycraft to try and create as credible of an intimidation roll as possible.

Know: Corporate Rumors - 6 hits
Know: Underground Rumors - 6 hits
Know: Security Protocol - 7 hits
Know: Corporate Protocl - 2 hits
Perception - 3 hits (to see if Creepy is recording or streaming the convo)
Intimidate - 2 hits (not counting any bonus dice.... pretty please?)
"Ok. if that's how you want to play it.," says Greer with a slight sneer.

Greer takes a second to take look Creepy up and down, evaluating the decker.

"Here's what I think. You're a low level, off-the-books Aztechnology asset. You're obviously not important or else Azzie would have spent the nguyen to make you look less like plastic doughface.

This was probably one of your first assignments, a simple asset retrieval. However, if you look very closely around you, it's clear you botched up your milk run in spectacular fashion.

That Azzie retrieval team that you're relying on is really just a cleanup team with one objective: no witnesses. They're going to put a bullet in you and stage the scene to look like a barrens turf war gone wrong."

Greer looks Creepy right in the eyes and says, "You're stuck at a crossroads now - either you turn off that signal and come with us, or I have my friend here put a bullet in you. "

Greer motions at the car's open door.

Creepy reaches very slowly and presses a button on his comm. Wyvern sees the broadcast cease in AR. Creepy looks at The Colonel and seems scared.

He walks slowly to the car and gets in. "How do I know you won't just frag me later?"

As Creepy sits down Greer has a feeling he hit some mark somewhere in his guess. Though he isn't sure exactly where. But this decker's milk run has gone sour. His employers may be super pissed.

There are now 5 people that will be in the car. The Johnson, Creepy, The Colonel, Wyvern and Greer.
OOC:
He glitched his resist intimidation rolls. Never seen so many 1s wish I didn't secret it!

OOC:
Hell yeah! Intimidation successful! :D
Greer looks towards Wyvern to verify the signal ceased, and then he nods and gets in the car.

"You're lucky because I'm old. I'm not much for leaving a trail of bodies behind me, cleanup is too troublesome," says Greer as he flashes a smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes.

"Here's what's going to happen. If you tell us what you know, there's a chance you can get out of this unscathed. As a bonus, if the info is good, I might even put in a good word for you," Greer says slowly as the car begins to move. As the car begins to drive slowly away from the crime scene, Greer points at the case at the Johnson's knee and says, "What do you know about this?"
