Right after Thorn stabs downward into his last foe another mercenary roars in from the mist. The Heshbaan has been injured. Blood is running from his head down into his face. Within his bronze helmet, it is a face of desperation and fury. He belts out a roaring battle cry of rage as he swings both his shield and his bronze sword at Thorn.

Maeriks and Kray both make the leap, grab, and climb from the Keshet and onboard the Korvaran.

They visible for a short time and then slide back into the fog on the higher deck.

As they jump up, Valates yells out a sharp command in Heshbaan.

A few archers staged up on the port bow react quickly enough to send out some arrows, but their aim is challenged because of the fog.

Maeriks
R5

Maeriks moves through the mist following the sound of combat. He stumbles over dead and injured, but then sees Thorn under assault by a big enraged bearded Heshbaan soldier who has blood all over his face.

Maeriks goes right into action with his glaive, swinging and striking against the myrmidon and warding him back a step from Thorn.

The myrmidon blocks and dodges two heavy swipes from the blade at the end of the long pole, but Maeriks throws in a back-end strike which his foe does not expect. The butt of the pole hits the big Heshbaan right in the teeth, breaking them and dropping the soldier to the deck in the fog.

Attack 1 and 2: Miss
Bonus Attack: Hit

Round 5 Update

Kray, Thorn, and Maeriks are now consolidated together, in the fog, at the bow deck of the Korvaran. They still have Blinded condition, but can see one another by remaining very close together.

Thorn may or may not be Prone (depending on result of STR Athletics check from Myrmidon Shield Push)

Bryn and Ivor are elsewhere, in progress as discussed separately.

Kray still has R5 Action remaining.

All Action from others are in.

Kray keeps his voice low, motioning for Thorn and Maeriks to follow. "Take Valates alive, if you wouldnt mind." He gave the slightest shrug, looking inquisitive, eyebrow raised. "I'd know who sent the miserable bastard."

He readies his sword and shield then follows the sound of Valates voice, slipping through the fog as he seeks out a known enemy of House Mercon.

Stealth movement. Perception to search for Valates. 2 attack rolls and initiative in case needed.

EDIT: Adding two more dice in case stealth gets the drop on someone.

Kray
R5

Without delay, Kray moves toward midship. Emerging from the fog he sees the middle and back end of the Korvaran unobscured and clear.

Also, he sees a pair of myrmidons staged right at the edge of the fog anticipating enemy, with several raiders behind them with short bows and javelins.

Kray is extremely fast though, and gets the first strikes in, bringing the fury of Serpent's Judgment at the front mercenary soldier.

Behind the stack of defenders, Kray gets a quick glimpse of Valates in the back, near midship at the mast, leading from the rear of the formation.

Attack 1: Hit
Attack 2: Miss

Note: +9 incorporated on Attack Mod
OOC:
Sorry, Ez. I understand the effort on the sneak, but these guys were in position to defend, looking for enemy. I can see getting Initiative on them just being fast, but I can't see any Stealth working or Advantage being gained in this circumstance when they're bracing for it in full battle stance in that direction.

Players' Club, I think it's all in for R5. But I've got no more time free for the night.
R6 has a lot going on, so I'll have to pick it up tomorrow - hopefully morning. Send anything in that we need to address, but hold R6 Actions until I stage the transition.

Cool ish btw, y'all. This scene is fast and furious.

When he sees Kray emerge from the fog and attack, Valates shouts out a burst of loud commands. Kray does not understand Heshbaan entirely, but it is easy enough to infer the meaning. He hears his own name "Mercon" and a series of short barking directions, certainly meaning to attack him.

Transition to R6

Main bulk of the PC group is in the front (bow) 1/3 of the Korvaran.

Maeriks and Thorn start within the fog Blinded condition.

Kray has already emerged from the fog and is fully engaged with at least 4 attackers who currently block his Movement.

Behind Kray and the closest fray, there is a stack of raider javelin throwers. Off to their left (so port side) are several shortbow archers.

There is a ramp behind the second line of Raiders that leads down about 3 feet to a central sunken section.

Around the sunken section on both sides are walkway aisles that run along a couple of feet below the side rails but still about 3' higher than the sunken central section. These walkways serve to connect the higher level decks on both sides. The large upper decks are both in the front (bow where you guys are currently) and back at the stern as well.

Down in the sunken lower section are benches, oars, some rowers. Also the center mast is there, and that is where Valates stands behind cover, with a shield. A big Hesh myrmidon stands back there with him too, holding a shield as well.

From the edge of the fog to the center mast where Valates is positioned is a distance of only about 20-25', so it is quite a tight cram of defenders and commotion in between.

For sequence, I will say Maeriks and Thorn can piggy-back on Kray's lighting fast 14 Initiative roll from R5.

With that in mind, PCs control Top of Round 6, so send Action when ready.

Despite the onslaught of attacks after one of the myrmidons knocks him to the deck, Kray demonstrates a mastery of defensive combat techniques rarely seen, putting his shield and Judgement to good use, deftly blocking, parrying and evading every effort by the Hesheban foes to penetrate his defenses. Rolling away from a spear thrust, Kray springs to his feet and mocks the enemy. "You're going to need more men, Valates!"

Now standing, his last foe's attack is turned aside and it's clear that Kray is feeding off of his enemies' weakness, a sinister grin showing his enjoyment of the throes of combat, savoring every ring of metal and sharp edge that comes within a hair's breadth of bleeding him. An opening presents itself and Kray goes to work returning the martial favor of bloodletting, lashing out with Judgement in a furious storm of violence as he seeks to carve a path to Valates.

Kray goes prone, but all attacks are misses. Action surge to expedite the business at hand. EDIT: Crit damage for Attack #2.

All attacks should be +9 to hit as well. Sooner or later I'll remember.
