Now bearing down mercilessly against the devilish hulk, Trece moves in for the kill. The first stab pokes into Eumash's windpipe. The devil man grabs at his neck reflexively. Trece notices his huge clawed hand that are covered in scars, but Trece delays little for noticing details. The second stab slides the spoon shaft through the left eye and back out. A spurt of blood and fluid.

Eumash reels and jolts backwards in a wild fall. Before the big brute hits the ground, Trece pivots, takes two long strides, and launches into the air in a jumping roundhouse kick against the second robed man before he can fully withdraw from the powder toss.
OOC:
I think that kick happened anyway. Hyp, need to ask you about Trece's monk fighting style. Does it incorporate kicks or is it only punches and hand strikes?
The figure stumbles down after receiving the blow. He is able to put one hand down just in time before being sprawled out onto the floor. In the tumble, his robe and hood are thrown wild. Trece can see the features of the man and realizes that this one, like Eumash, is not fully human.

note="HypCo"]The guy is still wearing the black robe, but picture that underneath he looks like this.

Sizhen Fail Save. Begin Unconscious condition.

Thorn feels his sense of balance unraveling. A heaviness falls over him. The droning buzz... it is rolling through his head...the sword is so heavy. Just drop it and lay down. Thorn's vision is drawn to the flickering torch that Maeriks dropped to the floor. His eyelids begin to close.

Thorn Save Successful

NO! Thorn snaps back into the horror of the scene, the droning bug is something unnatural. A vile evil that Thorn can almost feel in the air.

Thorn sees Kray burst into the room, leaping up from the floor panel in a raging fury!

There are bats stuck to Kray, and another fluttering around him. Kray draws his sword, the wicked Serpent's Judgement. He suddenly stands right next to the hovering demon bug.

Suddenly the giant bat leaps at Thorn, mighty wings flapping loudly, it's great fanged maw leading the way!

Ivor whips at the winged things with his net as they sweep past. With the haft of his trident he scrapes away one that has managed to latch onto his arm.

Ivor quickly rakes off a stabbing bat and then continues the face off against reptilian monster. Though it had momentarily escaped, Ivor catches the creature back in the net and stabs it with the trident. This time an entire barb sinks deep into the leathery flesh at the shoulder. Blood pours out in a line. The crawler squeals and squirms, thrashing from the pain.

Ivor can see that the beast is getting desperate now. It is closest to death, which Ivor knows may make it the most dangerous.

The single torch in the nearby statue casts its orange light out to reflect against the thick layer of smoke that still fills the room. Now all of the upper space of the room is filled with the swirling bats in their erratic flight. The sound of chirping and the flapping of wings muffles all other sounds. Some of the bats are already diving down to claw and stab at Ivor. He can see that more are about to do the same as they search for targets, dipping in and out of the smoke.

Some of the bats are landing on the crawler, even while it is in the net, but it is noticeable that they are not latching on. They land on the beast and then flutter back off.

The caught reptile is trying to back away from Ivor, but it cannot. So it is desperately trying to shake free.

Description/decision of Kray's Action (previously rolled Attacks applied to Stirges or Big Bug Boss?)

PC Action is in (unless anyone tosses in Movement). Will pause before shifting to bad guys.

Kray is briefly awed by the monstrous insectoid, then reflexively snaps back in to action, his sense of urgency bolstered by the sight of the beast as he yells down to the room below while moving toward the north door in support of the team. "Let's fucking go! NOW!"

Alright J, given the opportunity on the droning bug buss as Kray moves through the upper room AND the stirges 9, 11 and 13 sucking on him, Kray is going with an action surge to tack on a couple more attacks. The extra attacks will be applied to the droning bug boss as Kray moves past. Any attacks leftover (unneeded/misses on the big guy) will be used to kill stirges (9,11,13) who hope to keep feeding on Kray.

Having ascended the rope and recognized the very real threats in the upper room, and with his focus shifted toward the larger threats (insectoid especially), Kray would also pull out the shield as a reflex to keep those bad mama jammas at bay. As such, if it works for you J, I'll toss out the bonus action crit hand hit and have Kray wield his shield.

Brutally efficient in passing as his shield comes to high ready position, Kray puts Judgement to work as every slash, thrust and tear from the serrated Otessite blade is executed in minimalistic fashion.

J, since we are working with the Old Tea Man on this whole Oceans 11 raid and assassination plan, do we have commitment to contract right now as part of the job? I know our pay is the loot we find, but it is still a job we've agreed to do for Palla Ba, killing Iz Jeddriss.

OOC:
Action Surge is in. Prioritization and distro of attacks understood.
The thing I think is out of reach though is the shield activation.
If Kray was climbing up that rope with a shield, that bad boy would have to have been strapped on his back. Kray got up 15 or 20' of rope, endured a bat swarm, Acrobatted in, jumped up and is still getting sword drawn and swinging - all under poison effects and only in 12 seconds. That's a lot as it is.
I think the shield can come free from the shoulder harness after (next rounds by choice), but not built within this action series. Plus PHB in the section on getting in/out of armor says "donning and doffing" a shield takes "1 Action". I am not sure if I always agree with that, but here I think it makes sense. I think they are likely referring to shifting a shield to/from a carry position over the back or shoulder with some sort of strapping.
So that is the bad news. Good news, maybe, is that I'll default back to your original selection and apply that unarmed strike (critical).

When Kray sees the giant bug right in front of him, his reflexes take over. The Judgement arcs up high once slicing into the horrid creature's side and bulbous underbelly. Foul ichor spills out from the wound in a disgusting burst.

Attack 1 Hit

The bug is thrown off of its floating glide. It convulses and tilts wildly in the air trying to stabilize. The creature lets out a terrible buzzing shout. It speaks unintelligible words with a real but vile voice! "DDDRREEEEE RRRAAAAAAA GGGUUUUAAAAALLLLL!"

As the bug turns to a sort of falling dive, Kray follows through at full extension with his curved sword, swinging it first low to build momentum and then high at full speed on an overhead arc. The serrated blade tears straight into the bug's face, just to the side of its sharp needle snout. The sharpness and weight of the blade hitting against the bugs momentum. A cracking sound of shattering bone and exoskeleton. A splatter of oily blood and fleshy inner sludge.

Attack 2 Hit

Kray reaches up just in time to grab hold of the great needle proboscis as the bug slams into him at full force. Kray grips the snout barb and heaves with all of his might, trying to sling the bug to the side and shift his own momentum enough so that he is not knocked backwards into trap door in the floor.

With the creature's facial structure already broken, Kray's wrenching throw breaks the front snout of the demon bug completely off. As the split open body of the bug bangs first against the floor and then tumbles out of the floor opening down into the smoke filled chamber below, Kray still holds the vicious looking needle proboscis in his hand.

Critical Hit Unarmed Strike

His head pounding. Lungs burning. Off balance and winded. Kray strives desperately to cut free the bats that are stuck to him. He can feel the stab of their needle noses and the grip of their sharp claws.

Action Surge Attacks vs. Stirges: 1 Hit, 1 Miss

He is able to slice the head off of one of them, but two others he cannot reach at awkward angles.

Target Review for Thorn and (possibly) Bryn

Giant Bat is actively facing Thorn.

Stirges (based on their last turn):
S5 is still attached to Thorn.
S2 attacked Bryn (and I think hit and is now attached)
S3 and S4 attacked Sizhen. I think S4 is attached while Sizhen went unconscious.
S7 and S8 both hit Maeriks and are attached to him while he is unconscious.

S11 and S13 are attached to Kray. S10 followed Kray in after a miss and is fluttering around him looking for another attack. (S12 diverted and went to the lower chamber)
