OOC:
Housekeeping:

Bryn originally scooped up a Short Bow and 16 arrows at the ghetto armory. He used 0 of them since. Here he gave 3 to Ryhim.
Before Bryn charges out, while he is reading and working the chains, he takes the bag that he stuffed the arrows in off of his shoulder and tosses it on the floor in Ryhim's direction. So that's 13 more arrows.

Right now, we know that Iasu's primary Longbow was forced out of his hand and fell to the floor when Elam called the Iron Snake Bands out on him. So that places his main Longbow near the north edge of the exit, on the floor.
I'll also say right now that Iasu's spare Longbow (I think I remember mention that he had that) would have fallen into The Pit.
The snakes would have wrapped under the bow, hugging close to Iasu's body for binding. In the moments that follows, whirling and slashing Small Iron razor chains would have cut that bow string that would have been holding it to Iasu.
As for the current position and status of the Plank Bow, I believe it makes sense that it is still sitting on the north edge of the chain-barriered entryway where Iasu was last standing as well.
Iasu transitioned from the Plank Bow to the Longbow here while initially positioned near the fire hearth. The Plank Bow has no easy-carry shoulder strap and no hanger apparatus. It is also heavy. It must be carried manually or tied off in some way with more effort. So I interpret the transition from Plank Bow to Longbow to include setting the Plank Bow down.
Moments later, Iasu withdrew to the chained exit area to consolidate. At that time he would have carried the Plank Bow with him.
I feel like the best assumption would have been that he laid it down again on the floor and would begin to consider looking for time and making a judgement on when/if he should take time to reload the Plank Bow.
About that time is when the Snake Coils erupted.
So my feelings are that the Plank Bow, like the Longbow, is near the exit, on the floor, but there is no ammo for it because Iasu has the few bolts tucked in his belt on his person. Status/repair of plank bow ammo yet unknown because of Binding and Small Irons thrashing.
Let me know if that makes sense. If those assumptions are wrong, we can probably figure out how to adjust.

Players' Club ACTION!

Not sure how much/when I'll get back on, but will gradually be sending in some rolling and simultaneous developments as possible.
Apr 13, 2019 4:40 pm
Elam talks out in proclamation in Otessite, augmenting his voice out to fill the room, and then begins to float backwards even as Iasu is carried outward further over The Pit.

All the while Elam keeps his eyes on the great monster that has overtaken The Platform.
Apr 13, 2019 4:51 pm
The gargantuan pale thing that dominates the overhanging perch begins to move its three long hands and arms in slow succinct motions as Elam speaks out, taking meticulous pauses to hold careful signs made with lanky figures. It is as if the thing is making complex signals through physical movements of its dreadful appendages.
[ +- ] Bushyasta Flowing Hand Signals
Then its great maw, like a cavity opening up in what should be its head, begins to peel back and flap. A low moan rolls into the room, something truly unnerving. Gradually the moans convert to wording - or is the wording merely a thought inside the mind? It is unclear. The rules of this world are being broken now.

Those who can hear have heard it before. It is the great Voice from The Deep that spoke before in the distorted sound that was unlike any other voice heard before. Distorted. Bent. Otherworldly. Unholy.

As Bushyasta speaks in his unknown language, it almost tears the senses of men apart.

[ +- ] Greater Pit Fiend
The bulky rust-colored Pit Fiend looks somewhat like a moving oak tree trunk with claws, eyes, and teeth. The cast of fire light across its scaly hide, with great shadows cast along the wall behind, makes for a horrible sight to see.

The monster keeps attention on Elam, always lumbering towards the high-hanging half-devil as he moves on the chains above. The horrid beast's branch-like arms moving taunt but lazily to its side. Its clawed hands gradually clinch in and out again and again.

The edge of The Pit is a treacherous sloping drop off. The monster pulls short before venturing out too far along the curve when Elam is momentarily over The Pit interacting with Iasu. When Elam floats backwards towards the wall, the creature below takes space back right underneath Elam once he is under level ground.

"May the Fates favor you instead. Your task holds greatness over mine. Word needs to travel out of what has been awakened here." Ryhim readies an arrow and eyes Elam and the Pit fiends.

Kray acknowledges Ryhim with a nod then lunges through the opening in the chain barrier. Once through, he wastes no time in surging at the wretch, interposing himself between it and Thorn.

Expertly adopting a sideways stance, shield facing the otherworldly creature, Kray brings Judgement to bear with a downward pulling, ripping slash. Following through, he brings the dark Otessite blade backward in full extension, driving it forward and upward at the wretch, intent on burying it to the hilt.

2 attacks on the wretch. Positioning to cover Thorn from its attacks.

Kray
E/R Round 1

Kray steps strongly through the opening in the chain barrier and knocks into the wretch with his heavy shield, instantly dominating the spacing in the tunnel entrance.

A hard slash down tears open a huge gash along the deformity's torso. The reverse upward stab impales the obese wretch, jagged Otessite steel wrecking through sticky layers of fat and then organs. With a squeal, the wretch's eyes roll back in its head, and it swoons to the floor in a rolling glob.

Hit. Hit

Bryn takes a running start with one of The Irons still in his left hand.

"Hetash ust'ha!" he shouts, and the chain rises up carrying him with it.

The addition of his weight to the chain causes him to tilt and begin to twist. He is a bit off-balance.

Nonetheless, he rises and reaches for another chain once he gets about 15' high. With another shout of an eldritch command, Bryn transitions to another chain.

A short swing and then to another.

Delicately. Tenuously. Bryn is riding The Irons high above the floor and is soon suspended above The Pit!

As Bryn moves forward in surprisingly quick time, Iasu is simultaneously being passed backwards from chain to chain, moving out over the center of The Pit by the coordination of the heavy and dark Main Irons.

All the while, the cruel Small Irons, shining metal strings of razors, barbs, and hooks, remain wrapped around his body or pierced through his flesh.

[ +- ] Wing-clipped Edimmu Flier on Bushyasta
"BBBBBBBEEEEEEEEE-RAAAAAAAAA!!! CHALLENGE!! CHALLENGE!!! THE WARLOCK SPEEEEAAAAAAKKKKKK-ZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!"

Still clinging atop of Bushyasta on The Platform, the injured edimmu head buzzes out frantically in its vibrating tone.

Its one good wing flaps to maintain balance while the other hangs loosely down to the side. Tentacles writhe and twist as it climbs from place to place along the Pale Monster's massive body.

A sudden clang of noise burst into the already resonating chamber as one of the long column-like clusters of chains that suspend down into The Pit begin to rattle together, violently. In a rapid pace, these Irons quake and sway together in a fury, almost swirling in unison as a column.

CHANG-CHANG-CHANG-CHANG-CHANG-CHANG-CHANG-CHANG-CHANG-CHANG-CHANG-CHANG

It is continuous. Patterned. Relentless.

Something else is climbing up from The Pit.

Something heavy, and something moving very fast.

As Kray comes between him and the wretch, Thorn runs back up the hallway, back toward the broken door, back toward the surface. The muscles in his legs burn and ache, and his pace is really more of an awkward, limping, stride.
OOC:
Thorn is moving as far as he can. Not sure if you saw my question about action surge here, J. Thorn's moving as far as you'll allow. Let me know if this means burning an action surge.

With the wretch dispatched in a pile of spilling guts, Kray keeps pace with Thorn, staying just ahead of him, Judgement at ease in his hand, ready to decorate the Cursed Palace with the blood of any who oppose Kray.

"Stay vigilant, we'll need an exit. See anything on the way in? Some of the windows might work.

Kray and Thorn, both with observant feat, comparing mental notes here. I know there's the main heavy door entrance and the side door from the trap room, but there were also boarded up windows on the way in. Looking to recall an accessible weak point.

X, you may want to save that action surge. You never know when you might need to bleed a bitch out.

Ryhim watches Bryn command the Irons He needs time; unhindered time. He smiles to himself As if anything like that exists in this helhole. He cups his mouth, amplifying and throwing his voice.

Namtur calls out "ELAM! ! HOW COULD YOU DEFILE OUR OWN BROTHER LIKE THIS?!"

Ryhim sprints towards the alcove, finding his feet, then sending an arrow flying towards Elam.
OOC:
Going to guess no but, you miss 100 percent of the shots you don't take so, would Elam be considered threatened by the Pit Fiend granting me sneak attack damage? It kind of seems like they want to attack him or it's simply like a moth to a flame type situation. Or is Elam too high up?

Also, would I be able to grab the longbow this turn?

Ouch, that two. Total to hit: 14.
