Dusk

Pink Beard quickly gives off his current location before ending the call. Right after that, he calls Wakiza. "Two guys with AKs are taking quite the interest in your location. Unless you've already made enemies in Lagos they're probably there for the shopkeep so pay the man and get out."

While doing that he quickly switches his eyes back to ultrasound and zooms in on the two trying to see anything about them he missed and get as much detail as he can. He swaps his eyes back to normal and then takes in a breath to call upon something from within himself. That something was thermographic vision giving him another way to look the two over. Once done he will quickly find something else of note to watch in case the two notice him looking at them.

The ultrasound scan shows that they are just over 30 feet away. The scan isn't detailed enough for you to tell their meta-type but you can see that their bodies are unmodified. They are each carrying a knife on their belt to go along with the assault rifles held in their hands.

The thermo view doesn't give you any new information. They are warm, but so are their surroundings.

Wak says, "Time and the location of the auction," as he holds the money out. When he gives him the info he hands over the money. "Nice doing business with you." On his way out to Pink Beard, "It seems like this guy isn't hard to find this info should be real." As he exits he looks for the guys with AKs, "Yep, we have had a few runins with some local amateurs. THey a threat? I'm kinda getting sick of being tailed if that is them."

Pink Beard side eyes the two guys and grunts a quiet response. "Can't say for sure yet. Let's hope they are gunning for the shopkeep. Though now that you are outside let's see what they do. You've got a piece on you right?"

Kayin smiles at Wakiza and says, "The auction is to be held before the end of the week over in Ife. The Oni has his estate there. Word is, big players are interested in what's being sold at this auction. Apep Consortium, Aztechnology, among others." He takes the money from Wak and slips it into a pocket. "It's been a pleasure. Do enjoy your new armband!"

After Wakiza exits the tent and joins Pink Beard, you can both see that the two are still standing where they were, and one of them glances over your way, mutters something, and the two turn away, not looking at you at all.

Wak nods to Pink Beard keeping an eye on the two with the AKs and just taps the Ares Alpha he has strapped to his chest. Using subvocal comms, he says, "I believe I have the location of the auction for the map. There are some big players in town for this artifact. It is being held in Ife at the Oni estate."

On Wak's commlink, a small icon blinks into existence. It's a message from Jane: "I sent over two new 'runners to meet with you. Let me know when you've met them. I'm meeting with some contacts to see if they know anything about Samriel's whereabouts."

Wak just nods then responds on comms, I've met them. I think I know where the sale is going to be held. It is being held in Ife at the Oni estate. You need any backup? Waks looks at the two new guys, "Jane just gave me a heads up about you two. I'm Wak. What are your specialties? I'm good with a gun and an axe, I can be stealthy as well." After the intros he says, "Jane is meeting someone about Samuel's location, we may need to back her up." Wak is keeping an eye on the muscle the whole while.

Pinkbeard shrugs. "I'm a thief. I get in, do the job, and get out as quiet as possible."

After waiting a good few minutes in relative silence, a beat-up looking sedan pulls up a couple of blocks up the road. A square-framed figure pops out. After a quick glance about, he saunters over to you - looking a bit more casual than normal behavior would call for.

Felyx approaches Pink Beard and looks directly into the tall Orc's eyes with a squint.

"That beard is terribly distinctive, man. A retired sun starer could probably pick you out in a lineup. Good for me at the moment, though. So, uh, name's Felyx. I'm pretty much a friendly neighborhood tour guide but I... owe Jane a couple favors. So, what's the situation? What do we need to do? How do you think I can help?"

Jane messages back, You know where the sale is going to be held? That's fantastic! I've turned up f&*k-all. This one I'm going to see is my last chance and I'm not hopeful. No backup, thanks. I trust her... enough. See what you can dig up about the sale location. If you see any ideas for a plan, that'd be doubly good. I'll message you soon.

Wak nods to himself, Okay, keep us informed. We will go check out the estate. Wak looks to Felyx, "Tour guide, huh, well can you take us to Ife and we need to find the Oni Estate. We can take some surveillance photos, cruise the area and try to come up with a plan to get the map back. If she didn't show you," Wak sends them a pic of Samriel. "This is the thief we are looking for. His name is Samriel. Don't have a lot of info on him other than he is trying to sell a valuable artifact."

As the group stands, conversing, the two men begin to move towards you, hands conspicuously on their rifles.

Perception roll

If he notices, he automatically activates his Wired Reflexes.

Wak shakes his head, over subvocal comms, "Sorry guys, the old members of this group made some calls that allowed these idiot gangbangers to believe we would be easy targets. This is the third run in now. If we don't handle it brutally, we are going to have these morons hounding us the entire time we are here. Good thing we are in Lagos. Pick a target and take him" Wak starts recording both video and audio.

Wak moves into action and identifies the target with the least amount of civilians behind him, walks calmly towards him and opens up on him with his Ares Alpha (long burst, then a short burst for the first of 3 passes)

"What? What the SHIT?!"
