Greymond, can your acid burn through stone? Perhaps we can find a weak point in the wall and burn through it?

I believe so, but I've never tried. Perhaps a test spot first? Lessons learnt from the chest, eh. He walks over to the portcullis inspecting it's joint to the wall. To see if the idea would even be feasible before pulling a vial.

Inspecting the portcullis, you find no joint or meaningful connection to the wall. Instead it seems that it would be drawn into the ceiling as it opens.

Finding no discernable way to apply the acid he shrugs before informing the vial and dribbling a little onto the stone (6 dmg) and then putting the rest of the vial back into his pack. I don't think it'll work. We'll have to find another way.

Apologies, earlier I thought you said we'd have to meet a certain amount of damage to break an object. The acid always does 6 damage on objects. Figured that's what it was meaning. Was more just looking to cause a divet in the rock.

You guys can try, but I think we should see if this little alcove has an alternate way in. Light in one hand, shortsword in the other, Wil begins searching the northern dark area for any way to get into the portcullis-blocked room.

The rule only applies to physical damage. Also, the six damage is the damage you get when you throw a vial onto the object.
The acid burns an inperceptably small divet in the stone.

I think we should try and look for another way in. I don't think that we will be able to get in that way.

Before they leave Greymond goes to inspect the varnished orb on it's pedestal before poking at it with one stubby little finger.
