OOC:
Oh, sorry, seemed to have missed that one.
You walk, light in hand, down a corridor with several small alcoves creating strange shadows. Chains hang from every wall. You shine your light on the wall halfway across and find a small door, cleverly camouflaged into the stone. In one of the alcoves, you spy a skeletal corpse in tattered black robes chained to the wall.

Hey everyone, I found a door. I'm going to search this skeleton really quick.

Will checks the skeleton for anything good.

I touched the garnished orb. Anything happen? Just poked at it where it sat.

OOC:
Sorry, im being quite busy.
The orb, much to your surprise isn't rigid. It's rubbery and, as you pressed your finger against it, the surrounding turns a sickly green and reverts back in absence of the pressure.

OOC:
Can I roll anything to inspect the significance of the ring?

OOC:
Depends on what you're looking for. Arcana for magic, History for historical significance, etc.
Feb 1, 2018 4:50 am
I’ll go for history then.

You haven't heard anything about this unmarked ring. It doesn't seem to carry any historical significance.

Wil puts the ring on his finger.

Nothing happens.
Feb 1, 2018 5:09 am
Wil walks over to the door in the wall to the south and attempts to open the door.

The chanting stops as you peer into this forty-foot-square room. The smooth masonry walls provide excellent acoustics. Featureless stone pillars support the ceiling, and a breach in the west wall leads to a dark cave heaped with refuse. Murky water covers most of the floor. Stairs lead up to dry stone ledges that hug the walls. In the middle of the room, more stairs rise to form an octagonal dais that also rises above the water. Rusty chains with shackles dangle from the ceiling directly above a stone altar mounted on the dais. The altar is carved with hideous depictions of grasping ghouls and is stained with dry blood

OOC:
Is that the portcullis crank to the east, next to the portcullis?

OOC:
Is the room lit, or can I only see with the light from the rope?

OOC:
You can only see by the light of the rope.

Wil walks up to the portcullis crank, and attempts to hoist it up.
