Rymente follows behind in the dark as they proceed.
OOC:
Both Sariel and Gu'lorg have darkvision, so they don't need torches so perceive.
Mar 6, 2018 6:55 pm
Seron follows his rapier in one hand and a shortsword in the other.
OOC:
Seron also has dark vision.
I'm fine with her plan, if everyone else is as far as the torches go. He says keeping his voice low.

OOC:
Kuroi is correct

From players Handbook p183
A given area might be lightly or heavily obscured. In a lightly obscured area, such as dim light, patchy fog, or moderate foliage, creatures have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight. With Darkvision you see as if it is Dim light when in total darkness(which it currently is if no torches are lit)...anyone with darkvision currently should roll perception with disadvantage until they get into an area that is at least Dim Light.

All - As you look towards the direction of the entrance to the south of the twin pools you can see that a faint light is coming from the room. No sound can be heard over the sound of the waterfall directly behind you.

As everyone else approaches, Leylin looks back at them and waves, while gesturing to keep silence. He then proceeds with pointing to the entrance near him and gesturing "two" - small, "one" - large, "one" - "he hunches and silently growls".
OOC:
PS. It's usualy an Insight to understand other person's gestures :D

"Ah, there's Leylin." Sariel whispers under cover of the waterfall's roar. "He is signalling that he spotted a couple of small things and a big thing. Probably the bugbear and a couple of minions. Seems like good odds."
OOC:
To keep things rolling forward I'm going to assume either I didn't need to roll to interpret Leylin, or the check would have had a DC of 10. Let me know if I'm off base here DM. I'll retcon.

Using the Message Cantrip:

[ +- ] Message to Leylin
OOC:
I realize that I, as a player, know, but I wanted to keep from metagaming.

OOC:
@Sariel, there also was one that growls :) It was a wolf, btw

@Sclasclemski I presume the "R" on the map is for the wolf? Since Klarg was the bugbear's name. I also assumed that Leylin would be somewhere in the square to the left of Sariel. But if he couldn't peak inside from there - that's fine.
After receiving magical transmission, Leylin sticks closer to the wall and checks his crossbow while whispering in response. For everyone except Gu'lorg his lips are moving, but there's no sound.

Gu'lorg whispers in place, loud enough that his companions nearby may be able to hear, but pointing to Leylin:
[ +- ] Message Cantrip: Whisper to Leylin
Mar 6, 2018 9:44 pm
OOC:
The Target (and only the target) hears the message

Other's can't hear Gu'lorg unless he repeats the message for them
