It's pretty silly and not necessary in the slightest. I just wanted to see if I could make a text shadow on a line of text. I was going to set the text color to white, and have a black text shadow behind it with zero horizontal or vertical positioning so it was like a black 'glow' around the text.

White text with black 'glow' - like this?

Quick question...Say if I was to attack, would it be considered a surprise attack?

Given the current situation where everyone is kind of tense if you go to attack I would call for an Iniative roll but I would allow the person who goes first to roll with advantage

Okay, so I wouldn't be able to begin with an attack to "start" combat then roll initiative?

I'd say allow the attack before initiative if he wants to surprise? You wouldn't role initiative for a monster if they were going to surprise attack us would ya?

He would roll for initiative if the monsters were trying to surprise attack us, if he was following the rules by the book. Check out the order of combat section. Either way, by the book or not, it's up to the DM.

Don't know about Amaris but Rymente's character sheet says he knows Elven.

I'm pretty sure we need to go for this, especially after you gave the hostages a 6 hp shield. I'll wait for Amaris or Rymente to interact with the situation and then use the 'believe' trigger.

It just an question for my curiosity's sake :)
