Being from Nar Shaddaa, Jack is familiar with many of the most famous cantinas. He knows of one near here, the Crystalline Wreckage, where spacers often go to find work.
OOC:
New folks, please send me a brief physical description in a note or PM.

Once everyone seems ready, Jack leads the way to the Crystalline Wreckage.

Bo keeps a watch on the street and inside the bar for any Imperial snitches. There might not be a presence of troopers on the planet, but there are likely agents no doubt.
Feb 2, 2018 10:28 am
The bar from the outside is unremarkable. A neon sign proclaims its name, competing in a desultory manner with all the other blaring signals of this district. As you approach a Sullustan stumbles and out and loudly vomit on the street.
Feb 2, 2018 6:46 pm
Bo sighes audibly. She hates seeing non-human races embarrass themselves. At least he isn't Rodian. She steps over the mess and enters the bar, being careful not to linger in the doorway where people tend to look up at and monitor. Once she is a few steps in she tries to identify any other Rodians.
Feb 3, 2018 6:42 am
Jack circumvents the mess, heading into the cantina.

Bo sees a diversity of other species and miscellaneous humans, but no Rodians.

Jack knows that talking to the bartender is generally the best way to learn anything.

Entering into the cantina, you can see that the builders had more vision than practicality; all of the furniture is formed in the shapes of crystals - resulting in uncomfortable chairs and oddly slanted tables. Despite this, there are a score of beings consuming their intoxicant of choice.

An Aqualish tends bar, and she greats you as you enter with a jovial wave before returning to concocting drinks. Her flowing dress also seems impractical for her line of work, but she seems to be enjoying it nonetheless.

A dejected Gand sits at the bar, looking deep into his cup as if it might hold the answers to his problem. His cybernetic leg squeaks as his shifts in his seat. He's wearing the typical garb of a spacer, but the attention he is giving his drink may mean he can't afford many more.

A tall blue humanoid with long, dark, unkempt hair sits slouched in a booth. He is wearing thick clothes and a utility belt, but seems to have little else with him. Perhaps a local, perhaps someone truly down on his luck.

A Twi'lek woman plays holochess against the computer at one of the tables. Her piercing blue eyes narrow as she concentrates, then she smiles fiercely as she keys in her next move. Her excitement fades and fatigue washes over her once more as the computer counters it.

A Human male, unremarkable in every way, sits at the bar idly fidgeting with the space equivalent of a tiny plastic sword, his fingers flickering faster than eyes can easily follow. He is medium height, medium build, and an undefinable age...young and old at the same time. He has slight wrinkles and grey sprinkled through his disheveled dark hair. His demeanor is kind but his grey eyes betray his constant watchfulness, his restlessness.
Feb 6, 2018 4:33 pm
Bo will get a drink typical of Rodian tastes and moves over to watch the chess match. After a few moves she says, "I pway dah woser?"
Feb 7, 2018 12:53 am
The woman cocks her head with a self-deprecating smirk and gestures to the opposite seat as she says, "That would be me, apparently."
Feb 7, 2018 4:55 am
Bo slides in the seat opposite of the twi-lek. Bo speaks in Rodian "I am not an ace at chess by any means, but it helps pass the time while my crew is stuck on this rock." She scrutinizes the twi-lek.
Feb 7, 2018 6:39 am
The blue skinned humanoid takes a deep breath, and holds it for a moment. As he exhales, he fishes in his pocket, and pulls out 7 credits. He scrunches his face to the site, and waves at a waitress to bring him one of the cheaper drinks.

He glances at the twi’lek and rodian, now engaged in a game of holochess and thinks, "I wonder if she’ll finally win one..."
Feb 7, 2018 10:17 am
Jack's somewhat uninterested expression lights up upon spotting the Twi'lek. "I'll go talk to the-.." His words trail off as Bo makes her way toward the chess player, and Jack silently curses his Rodian comrade. Eyeing some of the other occupants, Jack leans toward Doc, gestures to Warden's booth and says, "How about you check on that one, eh? I'll check the bar." Without waiting for a reply, Jack claps his hands together and meanders toward a section across from the bartender.

"Pour a round of the good stuff for myself and these two fine gentlemen, and I'll pay a bit extra for a few words with you," Jack says once he has her attention, fishing out his credits. "I'm looking for a crew. Anyone around been asking for work?"

Doc nods at Jacks direction and heads toward the blue skinned humanoids booth.

With an approving raise of the eyebrow, the fidgety and unremarkable man takes the drink in hand and seems to address the glass rather than the man beside him at the bar, "If you've as good a taste in ships as booze, and your generosity holds," Gav pauses to take a sip, "I think you'll have no trouble finding crew." He downs the remainder of the drink and stands, turning to speak, "I'm Gav. Pleased to meet ya." To punctuate the greeting he extends his hand, which is covered in a fingerless glove--a style common among pilots.

Sorry folks, kept missing this game for some unknown reason!
Feb 15, 2018 12:06 am
The barkeep nods eagerly and begins filling glasses. Just as she settles down to chat, another customer beckons her over and she shrugs at Jack. She points to the human at the bar and the blue-skinned being in the booth before scurrying off to serve other customers.

Doc tries, but he just can't place what species the man is. He is confident he's not a Chiss...they eyes are wrong.

Not minding getting to keep the extra credits, Jack doesn't miss a bit as he turns to greet the human instead. "Gav," Jack repeats, "Pleasure's mine. Name's Jack." With a short swing of his arm, Jack claps his hand into the other man's, taking a quick note of the gloves. "Afraid you've only just caught me on a good day when it comes to drinks, but don't let that deter you. We've got one helluva ship." Jack tips his glass a bit toward Gav, and then takes a long drink. "I don't doubt we could find people," he explains, "But I want to make sure we find the right people."

"What do you do, Gav?" Jack asks. Despite his assumptions, he wanted to hear it from the man himself.

How much are the drinks, Marithyme?

Bo says, again in Rodian, somewhat to herself, "You are a shy one?"
