Doc chuckles slightly "No, my days doing shifts at a med center we’re done quite some time ago. I try and keep my fellow crew mates in one piece these days more than anything else." he pauses for a moment whilst watching the game before picking back up "We got into port a short while ago and we were going to look to see if we could pick some work up here but we’re a bit short handed at the moment which can hinder the types of jobs we can look to take on. If you’re serious about needing credits I’m thinking we might be able to at least throw some work your way whilst we’re in system....if things go well, and you’re not tied to stopping here long term, then we could look at a more permanent arrangement. If you’re interested that is?"

"At the moment, my long term plans are wide open, and my pockets are just about empty. And that combination makes me available and interested! Doc, I appreciate the offer and I'll take you up on it."

He knocks back the rest of his drink and leans closer to Doc. "So, you keep your crew patched up, eh? I would think a standard transport crew or courier service wouldn't have much need of a full time doctor in their midst... unless your line of work has a glint of danger." He gives a slight smirk and leans back. "But not to worry, Doc. I'm quite familiar with those types of jobs. I'm in."

The woman smirks at Bo, "It's too easy if I still have all my pieces." She looks impressed as Bo steps up her game as well, continuing to take more pieces that she gives up.

Understood, Gav replies. Well, I’d love to meet the rest of the crew. I’ve been here a while, might be able to connect y’all with some work too.

"Wouldn't hurt. My only other idea isn't exactly the preferable one," Jack replies, looking around a bit. He catches sight of Bo and Doc once more, and elects to leave Bo to finish her game. He leaves his empty drink on the counter, and steps over to Doc and Warden's table.

"You're in?" Jack says to Warden, having caught only the tail-end of the conversation. "Well, that potentially makes five," he says gladly, pointing a thumb toward Gav, should he follow, "Doc, this is Gav. Gav, Doc." He turns back to Warden and extends his hand, "Name's Jack."

The Twi'lek presses a button and her final piece, a krayt dragon, lays down peacefully as she replies, "True, especially against such a skilled opponent. You have my thanks, I haven't had such fun in a long time." She tilts her head as she continues, "Are you as skilled with your sword as you are at chess? If so, perhaps I might be able to return the favor."

Bo smiles slyly "My father taught me when I was a girl. He also taught me martial skills. And, I am a much better with the blade actually. What do you have in mind?" She becomes distracted thinking about her father and brother. They felt so close on Bespin

Warden reaches across the table and takes Jack’s hand in a firm grip. "Hello Jack. You can call me Warden." He also turns to Gav and gives a introductory nod.

"So, I’m not the only new crew member? Well, that makes four out of your five..."

"Are you indeed?" she replies. "Then come to my shop when your friends have finished their business. I have a blade that has been waiting many years for a being worthy of her." She sends Bo an address nearby.

She stands and gives her a Rodian salute and says in that language, "May your blade be ever sharp, and your hunts successful." Without waiting for a reply, she turns and leaves the bar.

Bo sits and thinks as she stares at the address a while. She is pleased with her chess playing, but is bewildered by her opponents possible gift. Eventually she snaps out of it and finds her friends.

She wasn't planning on giving it away, just that she would be willing to part with it.

Pleasure to meet ya, Doc. Warden.

Jack, and fellas, I mentioned I might know of some work. Well, we'll be wanting to talk to that fella at the bar with the prosthetic. He'd been talkin my ear off 'fore you showed up, but I was only half-listening. Might be worth more than half, now.

Warden finishes what was left at the bottom of his cup and shifts his weight to stand. He pats his coat pockets like he's looking for something, and then straightens up as if he found everything in order.

"I seem to be ready. Let's go see what the gentleman has to offer."
Mar 18, 2018 11:06 am
"It's certainly a better option than plan B." Jack admits, following beside them.
Mar 18, 2018 6:41 pm
Bo links up with Jack and just gives a nod to Warden that seems like all the introduction she is going to make. Were ah we goin?
Mar 19, 2018 7:53 am
Jack seems intent on introductions. "Bo, this is Gav and Warden. Warden, Gav, this is Bo." He gestures side-to-side at the appropriate parties and then shrugs at Bo's question, "Gav might have some idea of work we could find, so we're going to find out."
Mar 21, 2018 10:43 pm
"Someone we can twust I hope?" Bo follows along.
