Agreed. I've had a DM change RAW mid-game and it was a real bummer.

No rush, just laying out some of the group's options in case some guidance is needed. Of course, these are not mutually exclusive, and you may have other ideas not listed.

• Return to Rat Alley to track down the ROUS cultists.

• Travel north to look for clues in the rat cult temple ruins. Can be done overland all the way, or by boat first and then a shorter bushwhack.

• Investigate the tomb of Vashankala. Maybe currently not enough intel at the moment. Unclear if Sashvar will even lend you the iron and brass keys.

• Leave the Skandrana Varhu sect to their own devices, swing by the Aunties to pick up Ash and go see Valrakas for the contract signing. The group did not commit to doing this, but it's an option.

• Take Gaurav up on his offer and go meet the Thousand Swords..

• Tired of Pradesh? Let's go back to Port Llif!

• Maybe Valrakas will take us to Qinglai or Camaxacal or someplace else we can seek our fortunes.

Based on most recent posts, Urban and Erden are for going after the rats, with Erden favoring Rat Alley over the temple ruin. Ybus and Baracus are probably going where the others lead. So is Rat Alley the plan?

Sorry, guys, I'm a bit behind schedule at work and need to catch up. Can't guarantee an update before Sunday.

...wait, how did he get down here? He puts the halfling's methods out of his mind, too clever by far.
Hahaha I totally missed the fact CancerMan hadn't made a climb roll yet! Never mind, we'll move on. Funnier this way how he keeps finding his own way.

Ybus also has 100 feet of rope, but no one thinks to ask because nobody knows where it's been.

Haha you never know with Ybus! Maybe you don't want to know! XD

HBO Go has a documentary on Andre the Giant. Watched it this weekend. Really great.
It had many interviews, including co-workers from Princess Bride ( Billy Crystal, the director, the actor that played The Man in Black).
Quite a sad story. Andre was in a lot of pain at the time of the movie, on the downhill slope in the effects of his disease acromegaly, which made him so big but also killed him at age 42.

Yeah I think I read something about his story somewhere.

Anybody want a peanut?

OOC:
Erden will ride atop Baracus' shoulder, as is his common position. He will have his cigar in his mouth and strongly debates lighting it for the first time
And Timear?

Timear will nap happily on Erden's shoulder :)

Len, I just realized you might have missed this because I added it to an existing post.

Hey DM J, clarification on the WR. Does it require me to use two points to use the inspiration part and the reaction? Or is it, if I use my point to inspire X person I can use my reaction to give X person their bonus effect?
May 31, 2018 4:14 am
The latter.
May 31, 2018 6:54 pm
Forgive me, I see now that the exact, original wording suggests the former...
Quote:
Rydler can inspire his teammates with his mere presence. This feature is mechanically identical to Bardic Inspiration, but keyed off of Rydler's Wisdom modifier. In addition, when in combat, he can use his reaction to expend one of his uses of Holy Inspiration to aid one of his teammates in a very specific way.
...but the intent was the latter. I suggest rewording thus:
Quote:
Rydler can inspire his teammates with his mere presence. This feature is mechanically identical to Bardic Inspiration, but keyed off of Rydler's Wisdom modifier. In addition, when he grants Holy Inspiration in combat, he can use his reaction to grant the aided teammate a special boon.

Yeah, that was the main reason I asked. I didn't want to be in the thick of it and be essentially throwing out my already limited points. Switched it out with your updated wording. Thank you for the clarification.

I so badly want to use it now but aahrg!

CancerMan says:
Dang it, forgot about Halfling Lucky on that last Eldritch Blast attack.
Actually, I treated that as a hit: "Ybus' magical blast clips the seething mass, drawing its attention."

The slime has only AC 6. With +5 on your attack the only way you could possibly miss is with a natural 1, but I know Halfling Lucky takes care of that, so... ;-)

Ah, thanks!

Dang, these slimes have SO much HP!

You know what? When I was creating that item I very nearly made it so that you were required to come up with riddle each time you used it! :-D I thought it might put too much pressure on you so I scrapped that idea.
