They're reskinned gelatinous cubes, amirite? I recently ran these in a game I played with my students. I really enjoyed playing them, and came to the realization that dashing is their best attack action, if I recall. Made for some fun moments.
J suggested withdrawing. Problem is that raphiel, don-yi and myche are engaged further down the tunnel with Slimes B and C. We should at least kill Slime A to clear the way for the turtles' retreat. I'm also guessing the three turtles have piled on some damage on to B or C since we can't really miss such a low AC, so spread between them those slimes could have already taken 30+ damage; Lio's doing around 2d6+6, or an average of 13 damage a turn, so I assume the others are in that ballpark.
Another possibility is that one or more turtles is engulfed and therefore unable to retreat; we will fight our way to them to find out. Maybe the turtles aren't worth saving on a game tactics level, but my 80s childhood demands it. And, eventually those Cysger agents are going to catch up to us, and having a debt to call in from the masters of sewers gives us an out to a number of bad situations.
In summary: I think the resources are worth following up the rat cultist lead and getting a favour in the bank call in some turtle power down the road. What do others think?
