As everyone comes back out of the cave I attempt to speak with them away from the necromancer. Did anyone spot something in the cave that resembled an eye? He was talking about an eye that he worships.

Don't harm him, I need him alive. And no, I did not see any eye where I examined. But I wasn't looking for one so perhaps I overlooked it.

Ay, I saw an eye in the back o' the cavern. There was this stone that resembled a Driftglobe, but there was this eye-like sigil near it. BLAST! I wanted to grab that drift globe.

Balak tosses the necromancer onto the ground. Watch 'im! I'm getting that stone. Balak runs back to get the driftglobe.

I will help. Someone keep an eye on him I chase after Balak. Bored with babysitting duty.
Mar 28, 2018 4:54 pm
If there's nothing else going on, Balak reaches to grab the driftglobe.
Mar 28, 2018 6:05 pm
"Why do you need him alive? Think he has more informations n to give?"
Mar 28, 2018 6:27 pm
I found his spellbook. I need him to decipher it.
Mar 28, 2018 6:31 pm
"I hope you’re not looking to take his place. He’s done enough damage as it is..."

OOC:
I'm not sure what to do here.

OOC:
I would think that perhaps you and the dm would discuss your "true intentions" then secretly roll either deception or persuasion vs her insight...if you are trying to persuade and you fail then she doesnt believe you ...you win she does...vice versa for deception.

@Bigdogg1990: I guess what Sclasclemski said. If you want to do something, like convince the Paladin not to execute the necromancer, use your words and back it up with a roll.

Balak retrieved the Driftglobe.

Balak rushes back and says, Hey! I want a crack at him!
Mar 29, 2018 2:16 pm
I'm not trying to replace anybody. But if we want to solve the problem with the undead, it might be nice to know what the person who created the undead wrote, don't you think? Besides, it would be nice to have a few additional spells in my collection.

Balak shrugs. Eh. Use him for what you need. Let me know when his melon is ready for smashing. I got my driftglobe. I am happy now.
Mar 29, 2018 5:15 pm
We should study that globe. There is no telling what magic lies within it. Can anyone Identify the magic it holds?
Mar 29, 2018 5:56 pm
Magic detection is not yet a spell I have learned.
Mar 29, 2018 6:00 pm
Unfortunate, perhaps someone back in town will be of more use. Sorgrimm makes the comment without even realizing how insulting it sounds.
Mar 29, 2018 6:25 pm
Sounds good. I'll take the garbage. Balak slings his warhammer on his back, then grabs the necromancer by the collar again and drags him out of the caves in the direction of town.
Mar 30, 2018 2:23 am
The journey back to town takes longer than the journey out, owing to your unenthusiastic guest, and you arrive past time for the evening meal. The necromancer is haggard and prone to fainting, given his grevous injuries. Carrying him leaves you sweaty and dirty by the time you return to Red Larch.

Where do you take him? To The Swinging Sword (it was Kaylessa that hired you to investigate) or elsewhere?
