Xella spends some time, and can clear the trash, disabling the alarm. Once she has moved enough of it, the door cam be opened without causing a ruckus.

Inside the door is a passage, ten feet high by ten wide, running straight into the hill. Thirty feet later, it opens out into a square room, thirty feet by thirty feet, containing a stone block table. Stains and marks atop this slab suggest rusted objects were once arrayed on it. In the middle of the wall to the right of the entry passage, is a closed and severely rusted iron door.

Balak walks up to the table and lays his hand on it to see if he knows anything about this work and it’s use.

I'll keep an eye out for goblins, Dazzle calls to those inside, careful not to step through the threshold. When you start dying, make a lot of noise!

Balak is fairly certain that the table was created by a dwarf of indifferent skill. The table is almost crude, and serves no other discernable purpose than tabling to the best of its nature.

As Balak starts to mess with the door, a ghostly armored male human wielding a spectral longsword emerges from it. "WHO DARE DISTURB MY MASTER'S REST?"

The ghost does not immediately attack Balak, but it certainly seems prepared.

"MY MASTER, HENDEL FORGEN, LIES WITHIN. LEAVE NOW AND DO NOT RETURN, BALAK AMALEKHEIN OF THE BEROH-AMALEK CLAN. LEAVE, OR DIE." The ghost's weapon raises until it is pointed at Balak's heart, uncomfortably close.

Balak says, Or you can die! He then bares his teeth, drops his javelin, exchanging it for his warhammer, and in rage attempts to bludgeon the ghost.

Balak's attack (as posted earlier) strikes the ghost. However, the creature's ephemeral nature reduces the strike (half damage due to resistance against bludgeoning).

Sorgrimm's attack misses badly.
