Having heard the sounds of combat breaking out inside the cave, Dazzle peeks his head inside the darkness and takes in the unfolding scene.

I've never heard of this "Hendel Forgen" - he must have been quite forgennable!

But actually Dazzle wracks his brain for anything he might have heard about "Hendel Forgen".
OOC:
Dazzle casts Vicious Mockery on the ghost: it must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or take 1d4 psychic damage and have disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.

Naturax says:
OOC:
And the History check?
Right. Dazzle is vaguely familiar with the name, a minor land owner or such from centuries ago of no obvious importance.

Balak, Sorgrimm, Alyx, Felicia, Dazzle... Xella?
Apr 19, 2018 3:44 pm

OOC:
Sorry Alyx... I was counting who had acted. Damn good roll, though, let's save that until after Xella and the Ghost act.

Xella runs over to the ghost, attempting to slash at it with her longsword. Hyaa!"

The ghost guard takes the hit but reacts indifferently (resistance to slashing so half damage).

It continues to yell at Balak with all the fervor of a malevolent spirit, while attempting to slay him to death.

Balak feels his life force seep into the sword.

Alyx strikes the creature soundly, although the ghost is resistant to lightning attacks, it is becoming substantially less substantial.

(Balak takes 8 necrotic damage and also needs to make a Constitution save. Everyone can act again.

Felicia feels a grin break across her face as the creature starts to show some sign of weakening. Another burst of crackling energy leaps out of her hands while her eldritch words harness a power she doesn't fully understand.

Combat is over.
Apr 19, 2018 6:54 pm
Good job, everyone! No one died. Right, Balak?
Apr 19, 2018 7:47 pm
"Yes, well done everyone, except for me of course. Can't seem to hit the side of barn right now." Sorgrimm is very distraught over his ineffectiveness in battle.
Apr 19, 2018 8:02 pm
Feeling her compatriot’s frustration, Xella goes to cheer him up. "I’ve seen what you’re capable of. You’re just having an off day. Take a moment- breathe, pray, that’ll charge you right up."
Apr 19, 2018 8:52 pm
If you can't be consistently effective, you're likely to die. I say, bluntly.
