Sorgrimm grumbles something inaudible.

"That's a good thing to keep in mind. And if you're less-than-effective, Alyx, you stand a better chance of staying alive with us around." Xella gives him a friendly elbow check.

A brief search tells you the room you're in is empty save for the stone table that has rust stains on it. A rusty iron door is the only obvious other exit.

I stare blankly at Xella and then move to the door. Trapfinders?

Anyone who wants to look for taps, specify where you are searching and roll Intelligence (Investigation).

Balak takes some major deep breaths. Silvertongue, I ain’t dead yet, but that thing hurt!

He stops raging and places his hand on the table, taking a breather.

Rolls

Constitution Save - (1d20+5)

(3) + 5 = 8

Apr 20, 2018 2:53 pm
OOC:
Balak What is your health at?
Apr 20, 2018 3:37 pm
Failing the save Balak's maximum health had been drained by 8 points. Magical healing will not restore this.
Apr 20, 2018 3:57 pm
Felicia moves past the group to inspect the stone table.

Rolls

Investigation - (1d20+3)

(11) + 3 = 14

Apr 20, 2018 4:41 pm
Balak says I don’t feel so good. I feel like the life has been drained.
OOC:
Crap! My new HP maximum is 7.

Balak, my dear friend! I have not forgotten, nor could I forget, that you have stood by me, through good times and bad! I hereby vow that I will not rest until we have cured whatever dread affliction has beset you during your valiant struggle against the forces of despair. If you are feeling fit to travel, we will return you to Red Larch, and then, if necessary, back to Waterdeep, to ensure you receive the care you so urgently need. No expense shall be spared! I shall see to it that your final days are spent in decadence and luxury. So if you need anything at all, do not hesitate to ask!

Can I smash whoever’s causing these problems? I wanna use this warhammer as my dying act...

Balak, though feeling worse than he has ever felt, does not feel like his life is in peril, but trusts that Silvertongue’s reaction means that he looks worse than he feels...

DM prompt: Does anyone want to examine the rusted door leading to the unknown?
Apr 24, 2018 12:02 am
Investigation is not one of Sorgrimm's strong suits. He may suggest someone with a keener eye take a gander.
Apr 24, 2018 12:50 am
Smash down this rusted door, Balak. It will help you feel better.
Apr 24, 2018 6:05 am
Balak begins pounding the door with his warhammer.

Rolls

Warhammer attack (two-handed) - (1d20+6, 1d10+4)

1d20+6 : (19) + 6 = 25

1d10+4 : (6) + 4 = 10

Apr 24, 2018 10:35 am
Well, if there is someone on the other side of that door they definitely know we are coming. Sorgrimm just shakes his head.
Apr 24, 2018 1:05 pm
Shhh. He's dying. Let him have this.
Apr 24, 2018 1:16 pm
Balak pounds on the door, and rust rains down on him. After a few blows, it begins to move and opens inwardly.

Beyond the rusted door is another square room, twenty feet by twenty feet, containing a stone coffin. The ceiling is cracked, allowing roots and water into the chamber from multiple points, although little collects here. At the coffin’s feet is a rusty iron chest.
