Skeeze says:
They are indeed one handed. The rule is not about them being one handed, but that they are not classified as "light" weapons. Basically, it takes extra training to know how to use a rapier in one hand, and another weapon in another hand.
Ah I see. That actually makes sense.

Damien was born the son of a merchant in the town of Easting. Growing up around family, as a large portion of his family also lived within the area of Easting.

From a young age of 7 or 8, Damien used to travel with his Father when he left Easting to ply his trade. It was during these journies that Damien picked up his basic skills for scouting. It was one of his Father's caravan guards that gave him his education for scouting and his choice of weapons and fighting style.

At age 17 Damien joined the local military of Easting where he furthered his skill in his fighting style and scouting. Attached to a group of scouts for the Easting military, Damien spent the next 3 years in service to his hometown scouting the area surrounding Easting for any threats.

Hey all... leaning towards an arcane caster, probably a wizard. Rolling stats...

That's pretty awesome: 13,15,9,6,16,11,16

Danab, since we're entering the game together, do you want to share a backstory, maybe cousins or travelling partners?

I have no problems with that, but I want approval from the GM first. Mr. GM type person sir, do you mind?

Qralloq, my character will be coming from a military scout background. On this one point I will not change as i will be weaving my selected hook into this idea.

Absolutely. It was his idea that you and I could discuss the possibility.

I'm not sure that my evoker wizard would be very military minded. I gave him the sage background... Maybe he was attached temporarily to your unit as a favor to someone, delivering some lore, and now that the conflict is over, we are traveling together?
Apr 16, 2018 4:55 pm
you two could be family...one wizard the other military...now traveling around due to some shared mcguffiny thing

We discussed this by PM and elected to be cousins, but raised as close as brothers. I've added that backstory to the character sheet I submitted. Once I've picked an adventure hook, I'll fill out the rest of Kel's history.

Yeah, what he said. Lol
Apr 16, 2018 6:06 pm
excellent...both characters approved...Danab I will need you to fill in your abilities as soon as you can though please.

You will be introduced shortly...when the party emerges from the tunnel they may well come upon another encounter

Okay, so I am building a Druid, level 2 to join into this story.

Let me see if I can get these rolls done correctly.

Yes, this is a decided advantage over the standard 27-point buy method. I got 18 wisdom and con in the end, though I wonder if WIS and DEX would have been better... Hmmm... still thinking...

Oh yeah! Concentration!!!

Salutations. I've noticed by going through these threads that some players have unfortunately come and gone. I hope to stay though as I never went through this module before. In fact, I think I've only ever gone through Phandelver, and Out of the Abyss. I usually am in homebrew campaigns.

Anyway, stats!
