Damien was born the son of a merchant in the town of Easting. Growing up around family, as a large portion of his family also lived within the area of Easting.
From a young age of 7 or 8, Damien used to travel with his Father when he left Easting to ply his trade. It was during these journies that Damien picked up his basic skills for scouting. It was one of his Father's caravan guards that gave him his education for scouting and his choice of weapons and fighting style.
At age 17 Damien joined the local military of Easting where he furthered his skill in his fighting style and scouting. Attached to a group of scouts for the Easting military, Damien spent the next 3 years in service to his hometown scouting the area surrounding Easting for any threats.

Qralloq, my character will be coming from a military scout background. On this one point I will not change as i will be weaving my selected hook into this idea.
I have no problems with that, but I want approval from the GM first. Mr. GM type person sir, do you mind?

I'm not sure that my evoker wizard would be very military minded. I gave him the sage background... Maybe he was attached temporarily to your unit as a favor to someone, delivering some lore, and now that the conflict is over, we are traveling together?
You will be introduced shortly...when the party emerges from the tunnel they may well come upon another encounter
Let me see if I can get these rolls done correctly.
