You follow Escobert the Red and he takes you down into the cellar of the keep and stops in front of a gate blocking the way into a narrow tunnel. The gate is covered by some boxes. After a few minutes of moving boxes Castellan pulls one of the keys of his hip and puts it into the gate lock. The lock is stiff but it turns and with that the gate opens. He then turns to the group offering up the key.
The tunnel should run about 100 feet and end at the stream. The other end was made to look like a sewer outlet and is also locked. The key should unlock it, but be mindful as the lock has not been exercised in many years. I will leave guards posted here to send word if you are successful. Do your best to remain unseen as we don't want the raiders gaining this access to the keep. I wish you the best.

Harold takes the key and says, Thank you, sir. He draws his longbow and creeps into the tunnel.

The disused tunnel is filled with cobwebs but is otherwise clear. As you make your way through you begin to see the faint moonlight beginning to shine dimly through the exit gate. After about another 30 feet, you notice two swarms of rats blocking the path near the exit. They don’t seem to notice you.
Looking behind you to check on your comrades, you notice that Thorndyke and Varl are nowhere to be found.

Harold looks back to the group and puts his finger to his lips, indicating for the group to be quiet. He nocks an arrow and urges the others to do the same.

Harold whispers: We have distance, we have them surprised. Let's use it.
He pulls his bowstring and fires at R1.

Bartholomew wishes he had his breath weapon right now, but he used that to help the villagers a long time ago. He instead follows Harold’s lead an throws a javelin.

Arrow and javelin both hit their marks. However it seems as they both pass through swarm having much less of an effect than you are used to when making those kinds of attacks.
