HypCo says:
Seeing Copperhorn is defending Ash, Rydler extends his holy symbol and a warm feeling washes over Baracus, Urban, and Copperhorn. A light surrounds him afterwards.
OOC:
My action might change depending on your answer. Did we gain anything back from leveling up or are we still at what was used during the numspa fight?

Casting Bless and Sanctuary. Action and Bonus Action, respectively.
OOC:
Don't know how much it really matters, but you actually can't cast those spells in the same turn. Reference below:
[ +- ] Bonus Action Spells
Not wanting to expend any more of his magic, Erden takes his staff and works on jabbing it into the crotches of men who are in their way.

Rolls

Crotch-stab! - (1d20+2, 1d8)

1d20+2 : (19) + 2 = 21

1d8 : (5) = 5

Apr 13, 2018 9:09 pm
Baracus retaliates with some heavy punches
OOC:
Action: Unarmed Strike
Bonus Action: Martial Arts -> Unarmed Strike
Attacks are aimed to subdue, not kill.
After landing some punches, Baracus pauses and takes this opportunity to educate the goliath.

Strength is not enough. It is brittle if not tempered with wisdom. And it is not wise to attack Baracus.

Seeing that Aishwarya has no intention of escaping, Urban turns back to feast his eyes on the full glory of the madcap TAVERN BRAWL!

With only the slightest delay to soak in the delight of the scene, Urban changes his breaking smile to an angry face and charges in.

Action: Attack with Improvised Weapon, prefer heaving a table, but if these tables are too bulky then a secondary choice of barstool
Bonus Action: (available by Tavern Brawler Feat if Attack Action is successful) Grapple Attempt v. a badass barfighter

Rolls

Improvised Weapon (Table or Stool) Attack - (1d20+6)

(3) + 6 = 9

Damage (unsure of damage dice, rolling 1d4 and 1d6 for DM choice) - (1d4+4, 1d6+4)

1d4+4 : (4) + 4 = 8

1d6+4 : (5) + 4 = 9

Grapple Attempt (only applies if Attack above is hit) - (1d20+6)

OOC:
Rydler took the Help action in the bottom of Round 1 without specifying the recipient of that help. I'm going to randomly pick between Ybus and Urban because their attack rolls sucked. The dice pick Urban.

I also want to take this chance to clarify that unless you tell me otherwise, the good guys (except for Ybus and Aditya) are fighting their way slowly (about 15ft per round) to the rear exit. By the end of Round 4 you'll be at the door.

Still to act in Round 2:
Rydler
Kestrel crew
Brawlers.

Rolls

Ybus or Urban? - (1d2)

(2) = 2

Advantage roll for Urban - (1d20+6)

(8) + 6 = 14

DMJInactive for 2 months

OOC:
Wow! Thanks, Rydler. And dice!
Urban was about to miss with a table smash, but then Rydler was like, "Nah, bro. Throw that table at that drunk fatass over there instead!"
And after that, Urban started wrestling.

Round 2

Ybus kicks a bowl of snacks into the melee. Peanuts rain down on the mob but the bowl hits nothing but air. "Reload" the crazed halfling bellows, and Aditya obeys, placing bowl of olives in Ybus' hand.

Erden, seemingly fed up with a lifetime of having smelly crotches aimed at his face, stabs the nearest one savagely with his staff. A man goes down, writhing in pain.

Baracus hits hard with a combo of expertly timed punches and wisdom. The female goliath goes down in a heap. Just before she loses consciousness she considers Baracus' words and decides she wants to go home to re-think her life.

Urban grabs the end of a heavy tresle table. He's able to lift one end but has trouble wielding such a heavy object as a weapon until Rydler grabs the other end and the two heave it into the crowd, clearing another dozen or so feet towards the exit for the group's retreat.

A trio of burly dwarves swaggers into the group's path, brandishing knives and broken bottles. Striding forward, Urban grabs the lead dwarf in a powerful headlock. The dwarf struggles to get free but the paladin expertly shifts position and transitions to a rear naked choke.

The door to the kitchen crashes open and the tavern owner, a shaggy bear of a man named Chalmun, strides through brandishing a meat cleaver. "Valrakas!!! Ye fucked up th' wrong bar, ye ugly sonuvabitch!!!" Valrakas and his boys peel off as Chalmun and his cooks charge your right flank.

The front doors fly off their hinges and the city guard pours in to restore order. The Scum & Villainy is probably the worst place to be in Pradesh right now.
OOC:
Players may act for Round 3. I'll take two rounds worth of actions available from Rydler.

Front and rear exits are now 75ft and 20ft away respectively through difficult terrain. Ybus and Aditya are still in the middle of the bar, 45ft away from either exit.

Rolls

Grapple resist - (1d20+3)

(1) + 3 = 4

Apr 15, 2018 7:40 pm
Ybus drops the bowl upon the counter, leaving a mess of olives, oil, and whatever else collects in this bar upon it. "Time to blend in, matey!" he chortles to Aditya, and takes a running slide upon the slick counter to knock other things off before tumbling to the floor.

"I feel peckish! Let's hit the mess!" Ybus heads for the kitchen, trying to slip through legs to avoid being grabbed or tangled up.
OOC:
Taking the Dodge action as Ybus moves, using Halfling Nimbleness.
Apr 16, 2018 1:25 am
Trying to choke a dwarf into submission with a sleeper hold, Urban sees Aditya and Ybus lagging behind a bit. Urban calls out to the straggling Pradeshi goof, "Aditya! Get a move on, man! This way!"

Perhaps looking for a reason to wade back into the fray, Urban slings the tiring dwarf aside and charges full steam into a beefcake brawler who is blocking the way towards Aditya.

Move: towards Aditya
Action: Shove
Hoping to linebacker hit some guy and blast him back into a stack of kegs, tray of dirty dishes, table covered in poker chips - anything that will cause the biggest crash.
Shove successful or not, continue movement in broader goal to support Aditya as possible, even if it means grab him by the collar and drive him along on Ybus' route idea to the kitchen if that seems feasible

Rolls

STR Athletics for Shove Attempt - (1d20+6)

(3) + 6 = 9

Apr 16, 2018 4:49 am
OOC:
Clarification: rear exit door (20ft ahead) and the kitchen door (15ft to main group's right) are two different things. Kitchen may or may not have its own rear exit (most kitchens do). Straight ahead there is brawl chaos and the dwarf trio. Towards the kitchen there's Chalmun and four of his Iron Chefs, all armed with knives, engaged with Valrakas and his boys.

Ybus is making for the kitchen but isn't there yet. Urban is making for Aditya but isn't there yet.

Urban, I interpret your action as tossing your grappled dwarf aside so it can't take an opportunity attack against you when you move away. Meaning your next shove against a new target will be next round. Let me know if I misinterpreted and we'll adjust (obviously you can choose to risk the opportunity attack).

Rolls

Dwarf's Shive resist - (1d20+3)

(1) + 3 = 4

Apr 16, 2018 9:57 am
OOC:
Ahh, I see.
Dwarf Shove seems fine, will wait for next round for other Action.

Corrected above, and if allowed would add...
Urban sees that Aditya is still slow to move. Helpless slug!
Urban also notices Ybus wandering towards the crew of angry cooks with sharp knives.

"Ybus, come on! Stick with the group?," Urban calls out as he points to the rear door, knowing that his suggestion may or may not be heeded.
Apr 16, 2018 10:33 am
OOC:
Sounds good! I also edited my description above because I said "Straight ahead there is brawl chaos," forgetting to mention the dwarf trio that is still there.
Apr 16, 2018 6:49 pm
Baracus closes his eyes, and allows the cacophonous mayhem to swirl around him. It is glorious.

Never forgetting that his father's eye may be upon him, Baracus allows the moment to pass and moves to protect their right flank. He meets the killer culinarians with fists and fury.
OOC:
Attack action + Furry of Blows bonus action, trying to bruise as many battlecooks as I can. Going for subdual not the kill.

Cook 1: Crit for 13 damage
Cook 2: Attack roll 11 for 5 damage
Cook 3: Attack roll 20 for 5 damage

Following the exiting group, Rydler attempts to take advantage of the chaos and ease someone of their heavy coin purse.

Rolls

Sleight of Hand - (1d20+8)

(16) + 8 = 24

Apr 17, 2018 2:02 am
A mustachioed man in a feathered cap flits by trying not to draw the city guard's attention. You help him in his flight by unburdening him of his purse.
OOC:
LOL! I love it! Purse contents later. Rydler still has another round's worth of action available.
Apr 17, 2018 2:23 am
OOC:
Is it not an action to use an ability check or am I that far behind? If the latter, ho boy. Also holding on the contents makes sense considering...
Rydler quickly pockets the lifted purse, a smirk crossing his face at his 'helpful' deed. With a swift step, he moves over to anyone in qualms with Aishwarya and flashes a quick burst in their face.
OOC:
BA: Disengage (if there was any hostile around me)
Action: Help to Aishwarya (The flash is just flavor of a Cleric of Light doesn't impose anything other then serving as a distraction and the bonuses from the help action).

Erden?

I know Nate is on vacation but I'll give him a chance to chime in. If we don't hear from him I'll happily roll Erden's crotch-stabs for him. :-D
Apr 19, 2018 2:37 pm
Erden reaches through once more, aiming for more crotches!

Rolls

Crotch shot - (1d20+2, 1d8)

1d20+2 : (17) + 2 = 19

1d8 : (2) = 2

Round 3

Ybus ducks and weaves through the melee, making for the kitchen.

Urban flings aside the dwarf he has in a chokehold and makes his way towards Aditya.

Chalmun dukes it out with Valrakas while his battle-cooks get a taste of Baracus' beatdown buffet.

Nearest the rear exit, Aishwarya, Erden, and the Kestrel boys are faced off against the dwarf trio. Rydler takes a moment for some sideline thievery before dashing to Aishwariya's side with a flashbang to Grumpy's face, leaving the dwarf vulnerable to Ash's dagger hilt to the temple, which Erden follows up with a staff to the groin. Grumpy goes down with a groan as Hob, Harrison, and Rufio tangle up Doc and Dopey.

Your main group inches forward and is nearly at the rear exit. The guard is spreading through the tavern making arrests. Some brawlers who put up a fight are easily beaten into submission.
OOC:
