Ybus continues to slide through the mosh and airborne dishware, making his way to the kitchen. Whether or not he heard Urban is left to anyone's imagination.
OOC:
Taking the Dodge action in case anyone tries to attack, grapple, or otherwise impede my divine progress to the food!

Baracus knows there is some bragging rights in defeating the Admantine Chefs. Perhaps not enough to secure his passage to Acheron in the afterlife, but it was something that showed his father he had made progress.

He became a whirlwind of fists, beating the men into unconsciousness.

Rydler leans up to Aishwarya and whispers to her "That one there; he has made continued efforts to protect his left side. Subtle but there; aim for it."
OOC:
Help action to Aishwarya.

Urban yells out to Aditya, "Keep up! Make your way to the door with the others!"
OOC:
Verify Aditya is making progress. Urban does want to prioritize getting goof-stache out of the scene, alive and not arrested. I'm picturing this as sort of clearing a path for him, but would adjust if Urban needs to actively drive him out.
Seeing Ybus continue on route to the kitchen, Urban commits to joining the brawl versus the cooks. He picks up an empty tankard and tries to blast Chalmun with a real haymaker, using the wooden cup to deliver something extra on the punch.

Action: Attack Chalmun using Improvised Weapon (wooden Tankard) and Divine Smite
[ +- ] Smite
OOC:
Note: Not looking to kill the guy, but hoping for a big spectacle non-lethal cup punch.
Bonus Action: if Improvised Weapon is hit, attempt Grapple (via Tavern Brawler Feature) v. Chalmun

Round 4

Ybus dodges past the melee. Pushing past the double doors he beholds the filthiest kitchen he's ever seen. Dirty dishes and cookware are piled high in leaky wash basins crawling with vermin. A mangy dog looks up from gnawing at a bone in a grimy corner and growls at the halfling. To Ybus' right, a stairwell disappears into both an upper and a lower level.

Baracus faces the three remaining Adamantine Cooks (so named because their damn roast is tougher than iron...also because they're badasses). The half-orc fells Flay with a bone-crushing blow to the ribcage, and drives Puck into the floor with a vicious hammer fist. Morimoto is too fast for him though; his haymaker whistles past the cook's ear, missing by a mere inch. Morimoto slashes at Baracus' midsection with a large meat-cleaver. 10 slashing damage to Baracus.

With Rydler's guidance, Aishwarya drives her fist into Dopey's already bruised left side. The blow is perfectly placed but the dwarf's armor seems to absorb the force of it.

Harrison and Rufio pick up chairs and smash them against either side of Doc's head, knocking the dwarf to the ground, conscious but dazed. Hob holds open the rear exit door. "Come on! This way!" the halfling cries, clearly enjoying himself as much as his horned captain.

Aditya scurries towards Urban who after clearing a path for the fat Pradeshi grabs a tankard and slams it with righteous fury into Chalmun's temple. The big, hairy man sways for a moment, then falls to the floor like a plank of wood. Valrakas laughs uproariously and slaps Urban on the shoulder. The minotaur's bellowing mirth turns the heads of several of the city guards. One of them points at your group.
OOC:
Still to act this round: Erden.

Erden laughs loudly, having given up on trying to take this seriously, and swings his staff at the head of the nearest enemy, looking for a knockout blow.

Attack! - (1d20+2, 1d8)

1d20+2 : (13) + 2 = 15

1d8 : (8) = 8

Erden whacks Dopey upside the head, knocking several of the dwarf's teeth loose. Dopey hits the floor with a vacuous smile on his face. Valrakas uses his horns to toss Morimoto like a bale of hay into the approaching guards, halting their progress. Nothing now stands in between you and either escape through the back door or following Ybus into the kitchen.

What do you do?
OOC:
Enemies:

Battle Cook 1 (Batali): unconscious
Battle Cook 2 (Flay): unconscious

Battle Cook 4 (Puck): unconscious

Ybus looks around the immediate vicinity for something to eat, preferably already prepared, but he's not picky. Should there not be anything, Ybus considers the stairs to the lower level.

When Chalnum goes down and Valrakas belts out his hearty laughter, Urban says out loud among the Iron Chefs, "I am no cook, but I think that he is well done."

Immensely satisfied with the timely quip, Urban pushes Aditya along towards the back door.

The brawny Cysgerian starts tipping tables and tossing bar stools forward towards the center of the room once he sees the group has traveled past. He looks around for Rydler and continues to toss obstacles between the group and the moving crowd.

When he sees Rydler, Urban calls out while still working on barricading the escape route, "Rydler! I decked the head chef just a few moments ago. When he went down, I said, "I'm no cook, boys, but I think he is well done." "

Tipping over a table, Urban continues to yell out to Rydler in the chaos, "I said it right next to the other cooks, before they were knocked out. So they heard me say, "I think he's well done" about their boss. Because he was blacked out."

Nodding in satisfaction to Rydler, Urban slings one last chair one-handed and then covers the others moving out the door.

Movement: to the rear door and then out if the group is clear
Action: tip and throw furniture (hoping to create Difficult Terrain for pursuers)

Rydler returns a confused look to Urban "I deal in riddles, friend, not paltry puns. I'm the opposite of ill, followed by a synonym of finished. I'm perfection throughout, continue further and you risk getting burned. What am I?" He calls back over the revelry and debauchery.

"Riddles invoke thinking, inspire thoughts, and enlighten minds; puns are distastefully clever, at best." Rydler attempts to pocket a final side pouch before he exits
OOC:
Action: Sleight of Hand.

Rolls

Thievy bits - (1d20+8)

(18) + 8 = 26

Apr 27, 2018 7:40 am
Rydler: there's no one near enough for thieving unless you're stealing from one of the downed dwarves or cooks, in which case I'd say it's auto-success. That brings you up to a total of two pouches filched.

Ybus: There's a half-eaten plate of poutine on the counter but you'll have to get past the growling dog to get to it. Peering down the stairwell there's flickering torchlight down there. Listening, you hear nothing. It's probably the cellar/larder. Then again, could be something else.

Still to act: Baracus & Erden. Urban's barricade action comes last.

We are still in combat initiative. NPC's have slipped out the back.
Apr 27, 2018 8:07 am
OOC:
In that case, if a check isn't needed, would I be able to pick up two pouches, totaling three?
Apr 27, 2018 10:55 am
OOC:
I think stealing from an unconscious target would be easier but not necessarily faster. How about this: I will let you use your Move action for some extra thievery but you could potentially get left behind and depending on how things shake out (would probably involve some more checks in the next round/s), might get arrested. Sound fair?

Urban: IF Rydler sticks around I imagine it will impact "if the group is clear" so if it comes to that I will allow you to amend your action if you wish. And let's not forget, you all saw Ybus disappear into the kitchen.

Baracus high fives Valrakus for the assist with the remaining Adamtine Chef. He looks at the gash Morimoto gave him and laughs. Not a laugh of contempt, but a laugh of joy. This was a good day.

He considered defeating the town guard as well, but he could feel that his father's eye was no longer upon him. It was time to move on.

He looked back at Ybus and wondered if he needed to intervene, but then thought better of it. He would come in his own time, and needed nobody to take care of him.

Baracus ducked his head and strode out the exit behind Aishwarya.

Even with a bonus action dash? If negative, I'll swallow my pride and only take one in order to not be left behind.

Cunning Action FTW! Do it! That will bring your total up to 3 purses. If you like, specify which two fools you're robbing.

Rydler strains his time as he relieves Chalmun and Dopey of their belt purse. Seeing the group rendezvous outside, he quick steps and fades into the night.
Apr 28, 2018 3:17 pm
"Let's get outta here!" Erden calls to his friends, moving out the door, "Ybus will find his way out, he always does!"
