After the previous days trials the evenings rest was a welcome period. While uneventful, the night was a cold one. The winter night brought cold winds. You all stayed close to the fire. You awoke to a clear sky but a strong wind that would make shooting an arrow difficult if needed.

You break camp early and begin the trip to Phandalin.
OOC:
what are you doing with the supplies from the cave? Leaving them or attempting to take them with you?

The trip to Phandalin takes you the better part of the day and is entirely uneventful. . If anyone would like to have any conversation at this time feel free to do so. If not just post ready. Once I have 4 ready’s then we will fast forward.

OOC:
Seron would like to take the supplies with us and not have to make a second trip back
Mar 16, 2018 2:13 am
OOC:
We already have a cart full of supplies. Adding more will only cause either to slow us down or bring a possibility of cart breaking...
After Leylin finished his trance, he cleanes himself and his gear with magic...

... and does the same for oxen. When everyone is up, he takes sit at the reins of the cart.

— Let's make our way to Phandalin. We have goods to deliver.
OOC:
Ready

OOC:
Amaris doesn’t care about the supplies.

Well, it’s nice to be with some civilized folk again. Those goblins and bugbears have no honor, and even less intellect, if you can believe it. Anywho, we should finish our quest. We have greater deeds to accomplish for our great Bargrivyek.
OOC:
Gu’lorg is ready to go!

Seron simply shrugs as he follows the group to phandalin ever on the watch for an ambush.

HypCo says:
"Careful yearning for something you cannot reach, it will eat your mind 'til your nothing but the yearning..." Rymente calls out from the trees to Sariel as her illusion wavers and fades
Sariel dismisses the illusions and returns to camp with Rymente, considering what he said. She suspects he' s not just talking about illusions.

"You're not wrong Rymente. But the rub is, what if you're equally fucked if you don't reach for it? I'd rather die fighting than just accept the inevitable."

After a moment, she stops walking and turns to Rymente.

"You told us about the horrible things that happened to you. Once we find Gundren, if you're looking to even that score I'd like to help."
OOC:
Ready to go.

"Damned if you do, damned if you don't. You can only try to not lose yourself then." Rymente pauses as Sariel stops and offers her help. He stands in silence for a moment before placing a hand on her shoulder "I have to scores to even, not yet at least." he gives a light shake to show thanks "Be careful, you walk a fine line between reality and insanity; you don't want to stumble onto the latter side." he releases his grip and begins to walk "Five hundred thirty-nine thousand, one hundred and eighty two minutes."

The rutted track emerges from a wooded hillside, and you catch your first glimpse of Phadalin. The town consists of forty or fifty simple log buildings, some built on old fieldston foundations. More old ruins-crumbling stone walls covered in ivy and briars-surround the newer houses and shops, showing how this must have been a much larger town in centuries past. Most of the newer buildings are set on the sides of the cart track, which widens into a muddy main street of sorts as it climbs toward a ruined manor house on a hillside at the east side of town.
As you approach, you see children playing on the town green and townsfolk tending to chores or running errands at shops. Many people look up as you approach, giving Gu'lorg a longer look than the rest of you, but all return to their business as you go by.

Sildar seems much more at ease.

My friends, he says, let us secure lodgings. I'm told the local inn, the Stonehill Inn I believe it is called, is very quaint. I need to get a proper nights rest and secure a loan so I can pay you all for escorting me here. Give me until tomorrow to get things in order, I myself then plan on looking into the disappearance of my friend Iarno. I hope you continue the investigation into Gundren's whereabouts.

Leylin nods to the leaving Sildar and turns to his companions.

— I'd say we first deliver the supplies to..., he pauses for a few seconds, I think it was called something like Borten Provisions?

Scratching behind the ear awkwardly Leylin looks at Gu'lorg.

— I presume that you will report the status of your caravan to your employer now?
OOC:
What time of day is it?

Also, Leylin had Mantle of Joy active since they left the camp - so it probably improved the mood around him.

OOC:
Sariel is fine to help out deliver the supplies to the provisioner's shop, and is going to go with the flow of whatever the group decides for now.

Gu'lorg is taking everything in from this human settlement. He has never been welcomed into one before, he being from a militaristic race meant that he was often treated with hostility. He happily goes wherever the group heads.

OOC:
It is late in the day...there is probably an hour or so of sunlight left.
Mar 16, 2018 6:04 pm
After asking for directions Leylin will drive the cart towards "Borten Provisions".
OOC:
I know the correct name, but let's play it like Leylin remembers how it sounded, not exact spelling :D

I will and I do. May I ask where you will be? He continues following the group.

Titan says:

Well tonight I’m headed to the stone hill inn to fetch a room. In the morning I will begin my questioning but I will surely find the townmaster as the Lords Alliance has business with this town indeed. Sildar thanks you all again for the rescue and escort.

I will see you again soon. with that he heads to the Stonehill Inn.

You shortly get to Barthen’s Provisions as the town is not very large you quickly move around. Entering the large building you walk into a typical frontier trading post. Almost every piece of adventuring gear you could imagine is here on the shelves. At the counter you see a lean, balding human male. You would guess him to be in his late 40’s early 50’s. He smiles as you walk towards the counter, though Gu’lorg does get a strange look briefly from the man, which seems to be common as people aren’t used to seeing hobgoblins among a group of adventurers.

welcome to Barthen’s! How can I help you?
Mar 17, 2018 1:14 pm
Leylin comes forward with a smile on his face.

— Hello, good sir. We're here to deliver goods on behalf of the Gundren Rockseeker. And we were told that payment will be issued by you upon the dilvery. Cart is just outside, you can inspect the wares.
Mar 17, 2018 1:40 pm
The shopkeeper’s smile widens, Excellent! Ander! Thistle! Go outside and start unloading the supplies off that wagon. Two young clerks come from the back room and start heading outside. Upon seeing a hobgoblin, they can’t help but react. They stop suddenly eyes wide.
Mar 17, 2018 2:55 pm
Seron splits from the group as soon as they reach Barthen's shop to go to his own, the Lionshield Coster, to inform them of the news.
He enters the shop and looks for the owner.

Sariel keeps out of the way, her hood drawn up around her. Once she gets her cut, she heads down to the inn for a pint, finding a seat in an inconspicuous, empty corner.
