"I'm still badly hurt from our last fight. A duel with him right now will probably mean my death. Shoot him? Go for it. Here, you want to use my bolter?" Val offers up his bolter in case Kuros wants it. Otherwise, Val will just fire when Kuros opens fire.
Mar 24, 2018 3:52 am
"Naw, I'll use this little girl here." Kuros says as he pats his infernal pistol.

Rolls

Infernal Pistol, BS 50, Master Craft +10, Aim +5 = 65 - (1d100)

(14) = 14

Damage if it hits - (2d10+8)

(96) + 8 = 23

Val lays down suppressing fire, attempting to pin down that white armor creature or any of his flunkies who try to approach.
OOC:
Never used this action before, so I'll briefly go over what happens (core rulebook page 243). Enemies make a -20 will test. If they fail, they get pinned which means they only get a half action on their turn which they must use to move into cover. In addition, I make a -20 ballistics skill check to see if my suppressing fire happens to randomly hit a target.

Rolls

Ballistics Skill 30 - (1d100)

(76) = 76

Mar 24, 2018 10:49 am
He lazily side steps the jet of super heated magma with unnerving grace. With a curt shout in elder he charges.
OOC:
Roll initiative
Mar 24, 2018 11:21 am
Seeing that thing dodge Kuros' beautiful shot and remaining unfazed by his suppressing fire, Val says to Kuros, "In case I don't survive this one, I've got one last thing to say to you: consider spending some more time in the flight training simulators!"

And if there's time, Val will also yell their crash location into the vox to the space marines followed by a " HEEEEEEEEELP!!!"

Rolls

Initiative - (1d10+3)

(5) + 3 = 8

OOC:
Going to roll for Kuros to speed things up.
The order will be:
Incubi
Val
Kuros
Kabalite Warriors
Mar 25, 2018 10:12 am
The white armoured creature lets out a yell of rage and disappointment and charges.

He swings the blade two handed at Kuros. (Hitting the left arm. 15 damage pen 4)
Mar 25, 2018 12:46 pm
Completely terrified at this great eldar god Kuros screams in pain as the blade slams into his armor lacerating his arm. "Ummm... I don't have a witty retort to that Val!!" Kuros yells as he runs back to his ship leaving a trail of blood to the hull.
OOC:
A couple of things:
1. Toughness on the arm is 7 armor is AP 4 so that is negated by penetration. So he takes 8 damage. His wound total is 15 so he has 7 left.

2. I forgot that Kuros has Mastery of Small Craft: Re-roll failed pilot test with small craft. That skill makes total sense since otherwise the pilot would fail more than 50 percent of the time... Oops.

3. Does this Eldar have a lair action? How did my 14 miss?! Did he teleport out of the way? Does he have a displacer field?

4. On my next turn what I hope to do is start the ship up again. Perhaps the kind GM will let me reroll my pilot test and if I make it the ship is fly-able? Puhhhh-lease.

5. In D&D there is a disengage action. I will use the 40K equivalent to run away without taking damage. If there is no equivalent he will use the dodge or any other defensive runaway from bad guy mechanic that he can. One more hit like that and he is dead.

OOC:
I'm guessing the Eldar dodged Kuros' amazing roll? It really was a good roll...see if you can keep doing that?

Speaking of which, Kuros has the opportunity to also dodge the Eldar's attack. Try rolling your dodge skill. If successful, the attack never hit.

Yup, Rogue Trader also has a disengage action so you can do that on your turn.

Once you take damage beyond your wounds, you start taking critical damage, so you don't die yet. Critical damage is stuff like your arm gets hacked off, which doesn't kill you...but sure hurts a lot!

Val is already at zero wounds and has taken critical damage. So Val is getting close to dying... We'll see.

GM, I believe Val grabbed some drugs from the Eldar complex to be used in his newly installed drug delivery system. Are those drugs available for use now? And if so, what drugs are they? I'm thinking Val might need them to survive this one...

OOC:
Thanks Thomas! I forgot about dodge.

Rolls

Dodge 43 - (1d100)

(21) = 21

OOC:
Retcon!!!
Kuros sees a vision of the eldar god slicing at his left arm, it is almost as if there was a psychic premonition, perhaps from his time connected to the ship giving him a glimpse of his fate... Then Kuros jumps a hard right. The ax slicing into part of the wing of the ship. Kuros scrambles to he feet and runs to get back into the ship. "I don't have a witty retort to that Val. But if you want live get back in the ship. Let's shoot his guy from inside!"

OOC:
Nice! And with your upcoming disengage, you're pulling one of these!!!
Mar 25, 2018 1:54 pm
OOC:
Val has no idea what the drugs do but he can try them. Also I believe Brother Johansson looked at your wounds during the the flight so you have healed 1d10 wounds.

Please try and keep celebration to the ooc thread. I am fine with questions.

For dodge pretend you hit then I will retcon in a dodge like Aaron did
Mar 25, 2018 2:08 pm
Val moves back into the ship and anticipating that the Eldar will follow on board before Kuros has a chance to get back into the air, Val quickdraws his axe and activates those drugs in preparation for the Eldar's next attack!
OOC:
I thought that healing from the marine was between the first crash landing and us wandering into the Eldar compound. But if another d10 is granted, I'll accept it with thanks to Brother Johansson!

Rolls

Healing from Johansson - (1d10)

(9) = 9

Mar 25, 2018 3:06 pm
Your body heats up to the point of burning. Your muscles bulge grotesquely. Your axe feels like a toy and you would much rather tear this Xenos scum to sherds with your bear hands.
OOC:
Val gains Unnatural Strength x2 and battle frenzy.
Mar 25, 2018 3:58 pm
Val, now having gone into a frenzy, yells from within the ship, "Come, Eldar scum!! Your life's end awaits!!!"
Mar 25, 2018 9:41 pm
As the creature steps into the ship everyone ducks instinctively as a massive boom comes from the building set diagonally in front of the ship. The wall of said building caves in on itself sending the wall above it crashing down on the Kabalite Warriors in the street below. Val and Kuros see picking themselves up from the rubble a man in carapace armour (Nas), an ogryn, and two masked humans. They immediately look at each other and the man in carapace armour sprints towards the ship without thinking as the other 3 open fire.
Mar 25, 2018 11:16 pm
A baritone voice laughs as he darts about the rubble moving for the ship. "There was no way out eh?" he barks over his shoulder moving into a full run.

Rolls

Init - (1d10+4)

(10) + 4 = 14

Mar 26, 2018 2:39 am
Val growls into comms, "Kuros, we've got friendlies incoming! At least I think they're friendlies... they're shooting at the Eldar!"
OOC:
What's the updated turn order and whose turn is it currently?
