Game: Meese, oh my!

Wendealynn listens until Barixius ends his speech. She lights her pipe and says, "Can't help but notice you led off with the part about stealing from folk, and even threw in some deception... amongst the other things you said. So I wonder, aside from your skill in sneaking about and maybe dabbling more into the murder and assassination, you looking to rob and deceive these predators that suck these meese dry... or you thinkin' of other folk being your target?"
Mar 28, 2018 5:02 pm
Barixius smiles at the implication. It was my hope that by being forthright with the lot of you that it would...absolve myself from suspicion of any ill intent towards you. I am here to earn a living, as I assume the rest of you are as well. It would not benefit me to harm or steal from any of you. At the end of the day, none of us no each other, so who's to say you wont be robbing and deceiving the rest of us? The last statement directed only at Wendealynn.

"Not saying I don' appreciate your candidness," says the dwarf, "but it's telling that you frame your willingness to work together in terms of being beneficial to yourself.
"Still, you bring up a good point," she continues, and takes out her pipe to look at everyone. "I am Wendealynn. I work at The Jealous Jester, smith that I am, and I'm here because anything disruptin' the meese affects the livelihood of those back in Oceatree."
Wendealynn taps the symbol of Moradin on her shield. "Some o' ya might recognize the mark of the Soul-Forger, but if you don', know that by his might and his will, I seek no harm to come to any of ya... sneaks included."

Bragg gratefully walks off the ship, his legs noticeably wobbly from the boat ride. He reaches down and digs his hand in to the sand taking a big smell of it, then lets it slip through his fingers.
He looks over to Sirraah and says I guess he's not much like us who like to meet our challenges head on then he says to Bari, while blatantly checking his pack to ensure he still has everything. If by distraction you mean beating our foe over the head then consider it distracted
Bragg rediscovers his second breakfast that he dumped into his pack, and starts to happily feed himself.

Sirraah joins the forming conversation. I also appreciate your candor Barixius, and I will make no judgements today about your disshonorable career. I have agreed to work together to eliminate whatever threat liess here. She steps a bit closer When I am no longer honor bound to work with you, you besst not have me catch you in any unlawful actss. You might quickly find the hilt of my ssword nestled against your chest.
Sirrah turns to Wendealynn Lady Dwarf, I almost envy your faith. I find that mortalss cannot count on ssuch divine intervention. I trusst only in my ssword, and even that iss with much caution.

"Results come for those that work for it," says Wendealynn. If there's more to her words, she does not reveal them.

[ +- ] Sirraah
Something hits your mental, hard. Your vision blurs and your feet become unsteady beneath you, you wobble and need to stop yourself from falling. Despite your hindrance you make out a foot tall creature 20 feet away; a green pot-bellied monstrosity with bright green hair, orange eyes, and a drunken stare. It chuckles as it watches you stumble about.

You don't spot anything.

Wendealynn looks where Sirraah is pointing, and stares blankly. "In your head, you say?"
Apr 1, 2018 9:54 pm
I see the Dragonborn clutche it’s head and I immediately begin scanning our surroundings in hopes of spotting the unseen attacker. I attempt to hide behind some of the local fauna if possible.

Sirraah presses herself up and shakily moves forward 5 feet towards the creature, hand on her sword hilt, ready to draw her blade.
Apr 2, 2018 3:39 am
Bragg walks closely behind Sirraah, and watches her act strangely, he readies his weapon and studies her to see if he recognizes what's befallen her

Following Sirraah's point, you see and hear the chuckling of a small, green skinned, bright green hair, orange eyed, pot-bellied monstrosity sitting amongst some brush watching you all with a drunken stare.
As Sirraah moves 5 feet towards it, it moves 5 feet back; again with a taunting chuckle.

hey Sirraah are you going to be sharing any of that?
Bragg gets a look at the funny little creature, what the heck is that funny little thing, it almost reminds me of my second cousin Ethel. Well it appears that my first impression of Bari might be mixed up, look at him jump into the action, well I better offer up a distraction for him
Bragg slams his morning star against his Shield and rushes the little creature.
It didn't add in an extra +2 to damage because of dueling

Sorry, I meant to roll initiative for everything in my last post but forgot due to tiredness. For this, and probably only this, I'll let everyone roll initiative themselves before switching it back to I rolling it. Just helps speed things up with not having to wait for 6 peoples time schedules to link up. I know Jabes is slammed at work so I'll give him a chance to roll his own byletting everyone roll first before rolling for him. With that...Roll initiative.
