The sword slices through the creature, though you feel no resistance or no resulting blood drawn; you shake your head to try and clear your vision and find you missed and your sword has struck the ground. You hear the taunting chuckle once again.
OOC:
Leaf and Kithri; I'll give them until I get off work before going for them.Apr 8, 2018 4:14 pm
Oy, ya little bugger! Whyfor you gotta mess with the meese? You look like you ate a whole melon without chewing, ya little DROLLOP! Kithri yells out, letting her magics flow through the words. Her piece done, she sets her sights on Leaf. Leaf, pretty little kitty, give that one a whallop for me, would ya? she says in a sing-song voice.

Vicious Mockery - (1d4)
(3) = 3

The creature shakes it's head, visually affected by Kithri's magic. At the same time, Leaf begins to stumble and sway as she moves towards the creature; you all hear it's taunting chuckle, seemingly pleased with it's actions. Despite her newly found disability, Leaf lashes out with her claws, ripping into the creatures skin; it's eyes go wide as it is sliced wide. It's expression is quickly removed as she spins and cracks the side of it's head with her quarterstaff, sending it to the ground, silent.
OOC:

Wordlessly, Wendealynn walks up to Sirraah and pulls the dragonborn's chin to the side. She looks into Sirraah's eyes, going so far as to try to pull the lower eyelid down, then says, "What's wrong with you?"

She exhibits all the traits of someone heavily intoxicated; you get the same read looking over Leaf.

Wendealynn releases Sirraah from her examination, then looks down at the body of the small creature.

Wendealynn, closest thing you can relate it to is a goblin, however, you know it isn't one and haven't heard of anything like it before.
Barixius, you don't find anything in your surroundings, investigating the creature though, you find it has very little. You find a couple bottles of some sort of foul-smelling alcohol and a pouch filled with about a dozen meese that are bloodied and lifeless.

"It's certainly civilized," Wendealynn says, deadpan. She looks over at the tabaxi, then to the dragonborn. "We'll need to find a place to camp for these two. Figure we'll be staying here a bit anyway, as we can't assume this was the only thing hunting meese."

I take a good look at this creature trying to determine what the hell it is.

"There iss no need to stop for me right now. I am not injured." Sirraah widens her stance to show she is steady. "When night fallss, we can sleep on the ship as I understand the arrangement. Is that not true?" She looks down at the dead creature. "I would hardly call that thing civilized, though I would agree that it hass more intelligence that I would have first thought."

Bragg walks over and kicks at the creature. Well I'm guaranteeing that there's more of these ugly creatures kicking around and that we need to keep our eyes open and aware that they can cause us some unpleasantries. Maybe we can figure out where this thing came from and strike at their lair?
Rolls
Survival to track the origin point of the creature - (1d20+4)
(5) + 4 = 9
Apr 10, 2018 3:52 pm
Wendealynn says, "Both of you are in no shape to go mucking about the brush, and we risk more if we have to keep half our attention on making sure you don't fall flat on your faces."
OOC:
Is there a way to determine if the effects will wear off after a while?Apr 10, 2018 5:45 pm
We should continue looking, follow the trail of this thing before it growss cold. Sirraah spins her sword at the wrist and slides it into the sheath (at least where she thinks it is).
Rolls

Barixius, you've heard tales of these things, rum gremlins as they've been called, frequenting docks and ships causing hell for sailors. They radiate a magic aura causing drunkeness affecting anybody in that area. They are known to take great delight in the collateral damage their magic can wreak, sparking accusations and quarrels in places they inhabit before picking off isolated victims. The take advantage of the state of their victim dragging them into their lairs below docks or in the holds of ships. You can't find any reason why it is here other than perhaps food.
Bragg, it's tracks seem sporatic and hard to locate a definitive direction.
Wendealynn, it looks like they are simply drunk and should wear off with time; the magic seems to be the act of making them drunk without drinking as to a magical drunkness.
Sirraah does a simple flourish, nothing impressive normally, perhaps more so due to the fact she's drunk, but finds the sheath none-the-less.

"Hmmm Rum Gremlin. I’ve heard of them but never seen one before. From what I recall they like being near the water but under things. . The last few words inflected up with a higher pitch indicating that Bari was a little unsure of what exactly he remembered.
