Before they set off from thier rest, Sirraah assembles the light crossbow that was in three pieces in her pack. She takes a test shot at a tree at close range then retrieves the bolt.

Sirraah rolls her eyes when the furred one takes the lead but says nothing and follows. She doesn’t stop when their scout chases a large butterfly or pounces on a pretty seashell.

Perception, looking for signs of the creatures or how they arrived - (1d20+3)

Perhaps Bari or myself should take point?

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+4)

(12) + 4 = 16

Kithri wanders in the middle of the group, usually chasing off after Leaf to scribble notes about everything that the tabaxi chases.

Wendealynn trails near the end of the march. "Bari ought to lead," she says, packing her pipe.

"I appreciate the vote of confidence. I will scout 30' ahead stealthily. If and when I spot anything I will report back"

Rolls

stealth and perception - (1d20+5, 1d20+2)

1d20+5 : (18) + 5 = 23

1d20+2 : (8) + 2 = 10

Sirraah does not object when Bari moves ahead or her. She continues to move forward with Wendealynn and Bragg, crossbow at the ready.

Barixius slinks into the grasses, disappearing from view and begins to scout ahead. There is no sign of any other vessel besides the one you came on or signs of any wreckage. As you move through the grass, the island is silent, any sounds drowned out by the sound of the lapping waves amongst the shore. As you move, checking your foot placement to assure silent movement, you look down just in time to stop yourself from stepping on a meese; it looks to have an injured leg.

I stop and do a scan of my immediate vicinity. The Meese’s injury could be from a nearby prey.

Rolls

Perception if needed. - (1D20+2)

(10) + 2 = 12

Sirraah contiues forward, stopping only if she sees Bari signal for a stop.

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+3)

(3) + 3 = 6

Bragg seems to be getting restless Well I don't really see much of anything, where are these predators? Maybe we should go inland more?
Apr 21, 2018 9:22 pm
'Wreck don' have to be on shore," Wendealynn says. "Maybe out there on some rocks, and they swam over. One might even ask the Captain if he ever chartered folk that seemed more drunk than usual."
Apr 22, 2018 12:58 am
Aside from the gremlin earlier, this is the only other sign of life you've seen and can see. It isn't moving, it's leg is bent oddly, and it's breathing is labored.

I pick it up and bring it back to the group.

"Does anyone have a way to heal this poor creature?"

I hand the Meese to whomever steps forward.

"So far this is all I’ve spotted unfortunately. "
Apr 22, 2018 1:06 am
The weakened creature puts up no fight—or moves very much, for that matter—as you pick it up.
Apr 22, 2018 4:33 am
"Did you see any gremlins, or just this?" Sirraah scans the treeline "Is that a meese? What do people see in those creatures?
That one is suffering, it should be put out of its misery."
Apr 22, 2018 6:32 am
Wendealynn holds the injured creature in her hands. Face impassive, she clinically analyzes the meese.

Rolls

Medicine - (1d20+6)

(9) + 6 = 15

Apr 22, 2018 7:57 am
You easily diagnose the broken leg and you expertly deduct that is is heavily dehydrated.
Apr 22, 2018 11:53 am
Just because the poor creature has been left abandoned and alone doesn’t mean it should be written off. Barixius takes a strong exception to the dragonborns statement while attempting to give the creature some water from his waterskin.

Poor little creature! I have some magical healing I could use to bolster it, but I can only do it a few times per day. If you think it best, I can expend a bit of energy on this little bugger.
Apr 22, 2018 3:14 pm
Bragg looks at the little creature, he grabs a little twig and some twine and makes a makeshift splint, I think that this will be sufficient enough for the little guy, and perhaps the healing magic should be saved for a more dire situation

Rolls

Medicine for the splint on the meese - (1d20+2)

(16) + 2 = 18
