Character questions

Yeah, maybe I'll mess with area effect and multiple targets once I gain a level or two, right now I'm not too sure how to use them and I do not have the feats needed to not have disadvantage...

This is such different system that maybe getting our feet wet with other stuff is a good approach.

I'm really looking forward to it. Im still trying to get a sense of the narrative scope of his abilities.

Well that's the beauty of this game. It's super story focused, to the point that the creators said to not get the rules get in the way of the narrative. Part of the play will be fleshing this out for everyone.

So I know some people are still finishing up their character. Do you think that we should start playing soon, or should we look for more players? The thread I made seems pretty bare, but if any of you know of anyone on the site who might like to join, we can try to get them in here.

I'm good with jumping into the game. If other want to join we can add them in.

@Starrbeardo - I added some Perks and Flaws to Shani. Figure you want to know about that since it is new info. Flaws are Phobia of Spiders and Stubborn. Perks are Attractive and Local Hero. I figure Local Hero probably only works in the Projects, or people from the Projects.

I'm pretty much left with picking up my non-weapon, non-armor equipment... Not too sure what to get... any suggestions?

Hmm...I hadn't thought much about that either. We are set in modern day. Try to put yourself in the mind of your character and fill your pockets/bag with the stuff they would carry?

Like for me...I always do the "wallet, keys, cellphone" check before I walk out the door. At home, I've got my laptop, it only occasionally leaves the house when i know I will be sitting around somewhere with time to kill. I also have a couple external batteries for charging my phone on the go, and the cords that go with that.

Shani will carry a number of trinkets and talisman to focus her spells on. She doesn't own a car since she can fly, maybe you want to claim a mode of transport?

I like MushroomMage's take on it. These are means to enrich the character, so any odds or ends that a Jack of All trades might want to have makes sense to me. Lockpick kit, multi-tool, lighter, stuff like that. If it's something weird like a multipass from 5th Element, I don't think it would fit, but I trust your judgment on these type of things.

I's see him ride one of those "ninja" motorcycle... Yes it's cliché and flashy, but that,s who Crimson Jack is... :P

I feel like I'm missing this somewhere, but can't seem to find it. For the attribute scores, do you want us to use one of the quickbuilder arrays or buy them?

Thinking about making a black market tinkerer type fusing magic and tech together for the not so fortunate.

So I think I'm pretty much set, having a little issue with the items though, not really sure what to do there. Maybe I'll work on that in the mean time.
