Gu'lorg stops and collects the small bottles of reagants, collects the book that he doesn't understand, and whichever book seems to have the best knowledge of how to make a potion of invisibility or some other useful potion. He places those things in his pack.

How much does the glass staff weigh? I'm adding it to my inventory.

Thanks. Are there any astronomy books around here? If not, Gu'lorg is going to pull out the nose from the dead human wizard, cut off a chunk of it with his knife (a small chunk from the part that met his face, not the point), and attempt to feed it to the rat.

Gu'lorg - the rat approaches you and sniffs at the offering. Upon getting a good whiff it stops and looks up at you, its eyes seem to widen almost as if it knows what you are handing it. It takes off into the room and finds Glasstaff's body. It sniffs around the body briefly before taking off into the secret passage, scurrying away.

Huh. Gu'lorg shrugs, then walks back into the room with the rest of the group. He stands next to Ryti, looks down at the halfling, and says, Ryti make justice good! He smiles really big, and then says, You Gu'lorg's friend?

Sorry I've been really busy tonight with the kids and wife, I 'll catch up tomorrow morning.
After identifying the magical scrolls, Spark explains that those are really powerful spells and that he' ll keep them handy if we ever need that kind of power.
Seeing that he seems to be relaxed, Spark will try a new approach with Ryti and try to amuse him with some magical Prestidigitation. Then, if it works, he'll say something along the lines of : — You are more powerful than you seem to be, little one. I'll remember that. And if he doesn't seem to understand — Spark your friend. Give justice together if bad attack us?

And if the group continues toward the barracks, Spark will go first as Mynok might need some rest.

Ryti slows his jumping to a bounce, scratches his head then shakes it "No, Ryti give bad justice," He draws his thumb across his throat all the while smiling "Him was bad, him not get good justice, him get pun, esh, mint. Him learn me that." He points his finger at Mynok. He then nods, his smile growing even teethier "Ryti like have big friend."

Ryti, still bouncing, turns to Spark then scratches his head "Ryti not full, my hungry. Mama say 'Ryti, you always hungry, you eat me out househome'." While he badly mimics a lady talking, he also mimics a scolding gesture; his wide smile still adorning his face "My not eat househome, my eat apple."

Ryti nods his head "Ryti like have big friend. Ryti not like be attack. My like give bad man pun, esh, mint."

lets just assume that everyone walked into the laboratory area with Gu’lorg or was at least poking there head in while he was going through the shelves of books.
Gu’lorg if you wish to hide the fact that you grabbed anything please make a sleight of hand check for each item. Anyone that wishes to then possibly notice that then make a perception check.

In the future I will try to do a better job of pacing so that everyone can have an opportunity to explore areas if they wish. I’m guilty of pushing the pace along with PCs that are fast posters.

In that case the moment everyone enters the lab - Leylin is first to the bookshelf and very quickly checks names and contents of those books. He won't allow Gu'lorg to put any of them away.

leylin - most of the books are textbooks on alchemy. All very basic. Nothing of an advanced nature. And the book with the language that Gu’lorg couldn’t read, because you are both proficient in history you recognize the language as being Dwarven script.

  Next moment Leylin shuts his eyes. Suddenly his presence, that was very weak previously, solidfies. Few seconds later Leylin opens his eyes and starts reading the book...
