— Ryti, come back this way! It's dangerous back there!
Seeing that the little halfling took a hit and might be in bad posture, I step in the prison and try to bring the attention back on me by incanting out loud in elemental while hitting the coward that just hurt out little friend!

The Redbrands parries Sparks attack.
OOC:
Gulorg Ryti Seron Mynok- action needed
Jun 28, 2018 3:37 pm
Gu'lorg casts another ray of frost at the Redbrand.

Rolls

Ray of Frost attack vs. Redbrand - (1d20+5, 1d8)

1d20+5 : (3) + 5 = 8

1d8 : (8) = 8

OOC:
Assuming you step forward to cast as you don’t have a bead on him from that angle. Same result either way though.
Gu’lorg Cannot make contact with his arcane blast of cold energy. Mynok rushes into the room, snapping out of his stupor, he gets in the bandits face and swings his two handed great axe.

Rolls

Mynok >>Redbrand great axe, slashing - (1D20+4, 1d12+2)

1D20+4 : (13) + 4 = 17

1d12+2 : (11) + 2 = 13

Jun 28, 2018 11:40 pm
The great axe comes down and the man attempts to parry the attack as he just done to Spark. This time however the axe pushed through his block attempt and cleaved his arm above the elbow. The bandits sword clatters to the ground and blood begins to pour from the severed arm.

Seron rushes into the room as well and sets in behind Spark and tosses a Firebolt in the bleeding bandits direction.

Rolls

Firebolt - (1D20+4, 1d10)

1D20+4 : (8) + 4 = 12

1d10 : (10) = 10

Jun 28, 2018 11:49 pm
The Firebolt hits above the bandits head as Seron tries not to hit Spark in the process.

Ryti pulls out his dagger and attempts to finish off the human.

Rolls

Dagger - (1D20+4, 1d4+2)

1D20+4 : (12) + 4 = 16

1d4+2 : (2) + 2 = 4

Jun 28, 2018 11:52 pm
The halfling jumps onto the man and begins stabbing furiously. The bandit falls backwards into the wall and slumps down, unable to resist as the breath leaves his body.
OOC:
combat over
Jun 29, 2018 9:47 am
I slowly disarm my crossbow, put the bolt back in the quiver and make way into the room with prisoners and give slain redbrands a quick pat down in search for the keys.
Jun 29, 2018 12:45 pm
When Ryti is done stabbing the bandit to death, I slowly approach him the check his injury: — Are you OK Ryti? If needed, I'll clean the wounds with clear water from my waterskin and bandage it with what I can (a piece of cloth from the bandit that won't need it?).

Then I'll search the bandits for some keys that would be useful to free the prisoners.
OOC:
Is there a better weapon than the one I'm using somewhere around? Mine is a pretty basic and well-worn short sword.

Rolls

Wisdom (medecine) check (no prof or kit) - (1d20+1)

(9) + 1 = 10

Jun 29, 2018 12:56 pm
OOC:
Leylin is already in process of searching them
Jun 29, 2018 3:39 pm
Gu'lorg walks in, performing a similar ritual as he has done with the other dead fools he has dispatched, and then he stands up, blood smears on his face, and looks to the prisoners, saying: Fear not, people. We mean to release you from this wretched place.

Who of these men would have the keys to release you from your cell?
Jun 29, 2018 7:06 pm
Leylin's quick inspection finds a key ring holding a single key on it. Looking around Spark, you don't see any better weapons than what the Redbrands themselves were brandishing, scimitars. There is also a pile of clothes agains the wall that looks to have been the belongings of at least a dozen people, most likely previous captives that had been housed in the cells here.

The woman quickly speaks up, "Thank you, thank you we have been in this cell for days. These bastards killed my husband for defying them and then came to our home and abducted myself and my children. They said they were going to sell us into slavery."
Jun 29, 2018 7:36 pm
OOC:
What is the condition of the clothing?
Gu'lorg looks for the best-conditioned clothing and tosses it into the cell with the woman. Here, change into something a little better than the rags they have you in. We should get out of here quickly and quietly.
Jun 29, 2018 8:50 pm
I do not speak, just silently unlock doors and move out of the to the "tomb". There I load my crossbow and try to accertain if we attracted anyone's attention with all the fighting...

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+3)

(20) + 3 = 23

Jun 29, 2018 11:42 pm
Gu’lorg - the clothes aren’t really any better than the ones they have on them. The woman smiles politely as Leylin let’s her out of the cell. When he unlocks the boys cell he goes running to his mother and embraces her crying.

The woman begins consoling the young boy "It’s ok Nars, it’s ok. These people are saving us."

Ley, can you scout out the cavernous area and come back to let us know if anyone is wise to us releasing the prisoners?
Jun 30, 2018 12:05 pm
I nod and move out to re-trace our steps back to the chamber with a cavern, blending into the shadows as I go...

Map posts mid air as I start to explain the way out to one the the prisoners.

— We will escort you to the exit, but then you'll have to take care of yourselves to go to the village? There are two swords here, you should take them with you.
When we're all set, I'll go with Leylin or between him and the group if he prefers to scout alone.
