Looking For Group

CALLING ALL PIRATES!

As for level, I'm thinking we either go low like level 1 and are a new ragtag crew just starting out on an NPC captain's ship, or go higher level like 10 and are already in charge of our own ship. There's already a level 5 and a level 15 group so I'm trying to suggest options different from that. I'd prefer low level, but I'm fine with whatever anyone else wants.

I would love to pay test Matt Mercers Blood Hunter class that I have been thinking on. LVL 1 would be great. I think it would be cool to work through some small dungeons or raids on coastal towns and then maybe a mutiny to take over the ship?

I’d probably do a swashbuckler rogue (sword coast adventures guide), and hell yah we’re going to mutiny as soon as we’re strong enough to take over the ship!

Would you be interested in running a Forgotten Realms game Arina? And would anyone else be interested in playing one. My exams are starting to ease off and I'll have the whole summer ahead of me, so I'm looking to get into another game.

Could the pirate campaign be set in the Forgotten Realms? There's the moonshae island chain and plenty of coastal areas. We already have 3 other people interested in that game, maybe we could combine the two?

Right. Well, I could set the pirate adventure there. That's definitely an option. I have read quite a lot about the Forgotten Realms but I haven't read everything. So don't be too disappointed if I get a few details wrong. Do you want to run something on the Sword Coast? I assume you do as that's probably the most interesting place in Faerun. If a group of people want to play a game there then I'll happily make something for you.

Still need one more player for the level 1 pirate adveture too.

For those that are in this pirate adventure, do we still want individual backgrounds or all have the pirate background? And what is everyone classing as?

I guess that depends, do we want to start out already on the ship as an existing crew, or do we want to do individual backgrounds and our first thing is to get hired on board the ship? The 1st has the advantage that we start out already trusting (mostly) each other, but the 2nd has the advantage of getting to know each other's characters from scratch. I'm fine with either. I'm doing rogue for class, btw, a bit obvious, but I've never played one.

I was thinking of having you book passage on a ship that gets attacked by pirates. The captain gives you the choice of walking the plank or joining the crew. That way you can choose whatever background you like :)
