Something Strange is Happening in the South...

Tinwë breathes out a hiss of frustration, fingers tapping a quick beat on her crossed arms. Once upon a time she had been patient; she'd had to be.

When her uncle gives clear orders, she snaps to attention. "We will see it done with all haste, Your Majesty." She bows, then steps close to Aetoris. "When you're ready, senior field officer. I will follow your lead."

As Fah'lin goes to exit, Aetoris calls after her quickly. We won't need to be using the kingdom's circle to teleport. If we have our goods, we need only be close together and I will teleport us directly to Celeria. The king will be using his mages to speak to us, we should reserve their magic for such critical things.

He pivots to the king. Thank you sir for the guidance. It makes our task much clearer. Does everyone have all the equipment they may need, or shall we reconvene at a central location to make the journey in say, an hour? he says.

Gladly Spark. Age before sass, isn't that how they say it? he says, clapping her on the shoulder softly, distinctly using the Common translation for her name.

Anwin respectfully looks to the king, great your majesty it's settled then!
She then jumps up excitedly and claps her hands, it's been years since I've been in a carriage! I'd love to take you up on your offer Fah'lin, I'm already packed and ready to go! But if we do by chance happen to run by the Fondante's Inferno, you know that bakery right? With the delectable scones? It's no big deal but if we are, well maybe we can you know.... Only if you want to? I am craving some of their scones though, well only if it's on our way. Have you tried them yet? Mmmmmm right when they are out of the wood stove is absolutely devine.

Tinwë snickers at the thought of Fah'lin traveling anywhere without her carriage. "You can always pay the mages to send the carriage along later, dear!" She turns to the excited Anwin. "And possibly the scones as well. They might actually be worth the three thousand gold. I have heard Corellon himself declare that he prefers Fondante's Inferno!"

The thought of this endeavor finally being underway puts Tinwë in a fine mood. "It's not just these feet that know how to dance, Aetoris. Besides, my tongue was quick to sass long before I took my first steps. Onward, then!"

Rolana gives a quick, practiced bow to the king. Thank you, sire, for your guidance. I'll gather my gear and meet up with the rest of the group in an hour's time

She nods to the remaining party members and glides, quick and silent, from the room.

"We could literally ride to the circle and achieve the same effect. You have no idea how useful it could be." She pauses for a moment, sending a mental message to her servant to stop as well. "But if you insist, I imagine we can hire one in Celeria." Her tone is slightly exasperated, but only just.

The coucil ends and you all stand as the king leaves the room. A short while later, you gather at the teleportation circle in the palace. Oma Salie arrives last as she was busy clearing out her stock of healing potions. She brings with her:
2 Supreme Healing Potions
5 superior Healing Potions
3 Greater Healing Potions
10 Healing Potions

You all step into the teleportation circle and give the lower rank court mage a nod. It isn't as fancy as you'd like. There's no mystical incantation. He just touches a series of magical gems and then you feel your head begin to swim. Your eyes lose focus for a moment and it feels like you're going to faint. Then you manage to focus your eyes and you immediately notice thst you're in a completely different room.
Welcom to Celeria Lords and Ladies another functionary greets you. We have had advance warning of your arrival and horses are currently being saddled as we speak. By the time you get to the stables, they should ve ready for you. This way, if you please? he gestures down a corridor.

Always quick to recover (a necessity in her line of work), Rolana smiles and thanks the man. With a wink at Aetoris, she says, I hope you don't get a mount like that one that kept turning her head to nip at your legs on the road to Farsweep that time. Then she follows the functionary's lead down the corridor.

Last time Kuz rode horse, horse too skinny and broke leg. So horse rode Kuz to come back. Kuz smiles as if he had made the best joke ever.
Apr 15, 2018 1:08 pm
Hearing Kuz make his joke, Tinwë leans over to Fah'lin and whispers, "That's what she said. And that was a horse! Are you sure it would be worth it?" She pats the pouch of diamonds Kuz gave her earlier. "I mean, should the worst happen I can always bring you back. But I'm not sure Kuz would ever forgive himself, the dear." Another snicker, and then Tinwë follows Rolana and the dignitary.

I'm looking forward to it. Perhaps now Ryestro we can use that raven of yours? By the way, how fast does it fly? Is it stealthy? How can you communicate with it? Do you speak Raven? Ooooh does it speak common?

Anwin giggles
hehehehehe I think that I'm rambling again. Ohhh well!
Apr 15, 2018 4:12 pm
Already on his way out, Ryestro calls back "Yes, when we reach the outside air, he will fly. As long as he remains on this plain, I can see through it's eyes, as if they were mine and communicate with it, as if he was right next to me. As for the other questions...you should really be car..."

Before he finishes his sentence, the raven appears on Anwin's shoulder "Stealthy enough for ya, huh? 'How fast does it fly?' It, it, it! You know, firstly, I'm not an it, you insensitive jerk, I'm a living creature with a name. Ever think about that? Probably not! Secondly, I can fly faster than you; can probably walk just as fast as you as well, stumpy."

Anwin jumps slightly at the appearance of the raven on her shoulder, but she is quick to respond Well you've never actually have been formally introduced have you? I'm Anwin! And you do speak common!! So how fast do you fly? Because I can walk faster than most 'stumpy' folk. And by the way I've been called stumpy enough times that it's almost my second name. And sorry about calling you an 'it' I know that sometimes feelings get hurt when people don't know enough about you and make rash decisions.

"Apology accepted. You may address me as Codor or your Greatness."

Ryestro calls back "With your elegant introduction now over, Codor, we have a job to do."

At that, the raven disappears and reappears back onto Ryestro's shoulder mere seconds later, he looks back at Anwin "Fast enough for ya, huh?"

Leaning toward Anwin, Rolana says in a low voice, At least he didn't speak to you in the spider form. That's even more unnerving

Telepathically to Rolana
I won't!
As anwin winks at Rolana
Apr 16, 2018 2:42 am
Fah'lin arches an eyebrow at Tinwe's comment and quietly tisks at her as though she said the most scandalous thing in the world but the slight upturn of at the corner of her mouth shows she found the joke humorous and is not at all offended.

"We shall consider that later, onto the stables then."

When she arrives at the teleportation circle in the capital Oma Salie pats a seemingly empty pocket. Well I cleared the GG's cabinet of all the healing potions we got stored there Aety, and told Sebastian EXACTLY what he
is allowed to touch, so I'm sure only half the store is destroyed when we come back, as usual. Which made me thinks about the store in Southwatch, a week in incompetent hands could be disastrous! Do I need to remind you what can happen when some of the varieties I made are used incorrectly? We better hurry!

When in Celeria Oma shakes her head to clear it, not the biggest fan of teleportation, even after all those times with Aetoris. The shakiness unfortunately doesn't get better with the welcoming words of the functionary. Horses? I - I thought perhaps I could fly instead? We could use the horse readied for me for luggage. She looks up at the others nervously.
