A Strange New Desert

"Come now. Hurry and open it! Why would the person who hired us rig it to be harmful to us? Pretty bad business practice, if you ask me. Come now, I'm dyyying to know what's inside."

Araaz turns to Ryki and says, "Why not? It is just a wooden box after all. Nothing magical here."

Baerkohm chuckles at the antics of the group, now a familiar chorus from how they accepted nearly all previous jobs, down to the ridiculously overblown attempts to haggle their price for service. In the end, the dwarf drinks only beer from his large jug, and only ever out of the battered tankard on his hip. His eyes sparkle for a moment in the red light when the sparks shoot out.

Araaz is startled by the bright red flash but is able to hold onto the box. "Maybe not so normal after all..." Araaz says gazing into the emerald green of the vials."Hey take a look at these!" Araaz says holding out the open box facing the group.

I've seen some brews in my life, but never was much good with alchemical ones, but let's see 'em. Baerkohm grumbles.

Wulfram touches a vial and attempts to discern its purpose.
"Never seen anything like this before."

"Oh, come now, you chickens." Ryki says throwing an arm around Araaz's shoulder "Too afraid of the tried and true?" He picks up a potion and takes a small sip. As he swallows, he clutches his throat "Poi...son" He squeaks out before resting his head on Araaz's shoulder and closing his eyes.

Cailean takes a look at the vials as well. "Oh I know what those are and if he gave us those, he's expecting major trouble for us. Those are some pretty good healing potions he's gifted us with."

"Aren't healing potions normally red?.... No matter. Let us begin this quest." Araaz turns to Ryki and, slapping his face a little, says, "Hey, wake up Ryki."

Ryki gives a wink to Araaz and places the vial gingerly back into the box.
