"Animosity is such a loaded word, I personally don't feel that there is a need to fight. We are all adults here." Zev turns to look at Hapi "I mean I think we're all adults here. Instead of this kind of a hard sell, why not go with the positives for being on board. Is there any incentives for not fighting? I mean are we taken as slaves or are we part of the crew? If we are slaves, how do we earn back our freedom. If we are part of the crew then forget my question about slavery, and do we get part of the spoils for whatever nefarious schemes this captain has for us?" Zev puts his bowl onto the floor. "Obviously good food isn't a selling point, but before anyone takes up arms, perhaps you, or someone a little more well read, can explain to us our current situation and options."

"I have fish guts running down my pants," Feral said in her most emotionless voice. Sarcastically screaming in her head, Obviously we are slaves, you don't sell people off to join a crew. This is a form of control, a way to make us dependent and warry of the situation. Standing up she tried to shake the stew out of her trousers, unsuccessfully, looking to Zev she says, "You have some in your hair too."

"Where?" Zev immediately casts prestidigitation and cleans his hair.

Ryca stands, retrieves the club, and hands it back to Rotgut with the handle side facing him. "The only animosity I harbor towards you is you've interrupted my enjoyable meal but that is quite petty in the grand scheme of things; hardly cause for a fight."

Laeren grabs the sharpest thing she can find (a fork, or kitchen knife) to use as an improvised weapon if needed, and then stands silently in the shadows, watching everything.

Rolls

sleight of hand to pocket a fork or kitchen knife - (1d20+7)

(20) + 7 = 27

@Laeren,
OOC:
But not the club the orc dropped in front of you right?
Jun 3, 2018 8:06 am
Hepi walks up to the orc, and looks up at him. You, Hepi, boom, boom? He smiles very big, excited to fight the large orc. He then walks up to the club, grabs it, and growls ferally at his green rival.
OOC:
Can we say that Hepi is in rage to start?

Rolls

Initiative - (1d20+2)

(10) + 2 = 12

That’s right. Laeren is the stabby stabby type, not the smashy smashy type... doesn’t have the strength for a club. 🙂

@Happy: Please go ahead and take your turn. I'd imagine that being sold a slave would make one plenty angry. Go for it.

Your club connects with the orc's tree like limb. He doesn't make any move to get out of the way or block your strike.Ah, ye got sum spark li'l un. Better than these udder useless panzies. Have unudder crack. Then I'll take my turn.

You may attack again if you wish.

While the orc is attacking Happy, Laeren quietly moves into position behind the orc. When she is right behind his back, she throws the fork she picked up earlier at him and then ducks behind a table.
OOC:
Editing to add damage. I found the section on improvised weapons and it sounds like it would do 1d4 of damage, feel free to lower that though!

Hepi takes the first blow, but it doesn't do as much damage as the orc hoped. He takes it and smiles, enjoying himself far too much to let that little pain bother him.

He runs between the legs of the orc, swinging at his underbits with his might.

Sellanancy says:
OOC:
I wasn't sure what dice to roll for Unarmed Strike since 5e doesn't include it, apparently, so I used the guidelines for 3.5e. And for Sneak Attack I am assuming the orc is within 5 feet of Feral since we are in fairly enclosed quarters.

OOC:
Per RAW: An unarmed strike deals bludgeoning damage equal to 1 + your Strength modifier. You are proficient with your unarmed strikes. So your rolls would be 1d20+strength mod+proficiency to hit. An unarmed strike isn't finesse or range so sneak attack doesn't apply.

This is ignoring certain feats and the monk class, which change unarmed strikes.
Ryca has little concern for the combat, with his meal destroyed, he attempts to make his way up, back to the top deck.
