OOC:
@Feral. No problem. I got this. You can use either your strength or your dex plus proficiency bonus. Your damage is equal to 1+ your strength mod plus sneak attack. So I need you to make an attack roll. As you are trying to surprise the orc, I'd like you to make a deception or stealth check DC 11. If you pass the check I'll give you advantage on the attack.

OOC:
Laeren passed a DC11 stealth check on their attack, does that one count as a sneak attack too? It was a ranged attack, so not sure it applies in that case.

OOC:
Sneak attack doesn't have to be melee.

I don't know how I screwed this up so I am reposting with my original rolls.
While the orc was distracted by Happy, Feral backed into the shadows and took the opportunity to sneak around the orc and kick him in the leg from behind.
OOC:
wasn't sure what dice to roll for Unarmed Strike since 5e doesn't include it, apparently, so I used the guidelines for 3.5e. And for Sneak Attack I am assuming the orc is within 5 feet of Feral since we are in fairly enclosed quarters.
Rolls
Initiative Roll - (1d20+3)

( 4 ) + 3 = 7

Sneak Attack - (1d6)

( 3 ) = 3+2 = 5 (thanks Chief)

Kick-em where it hurts - (1d3)

( 2 ) = 2+3 = 5 (with Dex bonus modifiers)

OOC:
Your attack roll looks really high for a level one character. Also, for improvised weapons, you don't add your proficiency bonus unless a feat allows you to.

The orc turns as Feral and Laeren attack him.
That's more lik it! Bring iddon! He bellows.

Then he aims two attacks at Feral.

Laeren picks up another piece of cutlery and chucks it at the orc muttering "he's a tough bugger".
OOC:
That should be 2 less on the attack rolls without the proficiency bonus, I can't seem to edit the rolls now that they're done.

Laeren? Aah sorry that makes sense, I'll edit out the proficiency bonus, I just copied the dagger attack I'm proficient in.

I point and yell By the Wilds, you shall move no more! I then cast entangle.

The orc manages to avoid a bumch of leaping vines that reach out and grab him. As Feral falls to the ground unconscious, the orc turns his attention to Happy.

No need for death saves, the orc is dealing non-lethal damage.
Next round, fight!

Hepi is feeling those last two pounds. They hurt a bit, but he’s a tough little guy, and keeps moving as quickly as he can, and swings again at the large orc.

1d20+4 : (18) + 4 = 22

Zeverelin moves around the floor looking to the ground for any signs of sand, all he needs is a pinch of it.

Rolls

Investigation for a pinch of sand - (1d20+4)

(15) + 4 = 19

Jun 10, 2018 4:06 pm
Laeren gasps as she sees Feral fall. She goes over to check on her and breathes a sigh of relief when she sees her breathing. She then tries to drag her out of the way of the fighting.

Rolls

pull Feral away from the fighting (strenght check) - (1d20)

(10) = 10

Jun 10, 2018 11:25 pm
OOC:
@Zev. You manage to collect a small handful of sand.
Jun 11, 2018 12:58 am
On his turn, Zev pours the handful of sand into his pocket and quickly walks back towards the hullabaloo watching the big orc, to see if the hits are actually doing anything to him, or how hurt he looks.

Rolls

Medicine - (1d20+3)

(3) + 3 = 6

Jun 11, 2018 2:33 am
He doesn't look that hurt but he looks very angry!
