I say nothing, being busy with keeping incoming enemies at bay, but keep following everyone steadily.
OOC:
Move and probably a Dodge action?

OOC:
As far as I know, the torch stayed in the copper room and no one lit another one. So you are advancing in a pitch black tunnel, which is fine for everyone but Mee'hail.
--
Mee'hail, we'll use the Dodge action to resolve the fact that you focus on defending yourself the best you can, even if you can't dodge per se. There's no explicit rule about it, but given the context you also can use your Attack action to hit anything that would come in range. Both will result is about the same effect, but the former relies on your defense while the later relies on your offensive capabilities. You choice.
You follow the tortuous tunnel upward on something like 40 feet, and get the general feeling that you must be some somewhere above the copper room because of the very strong metallic smell around you.
At some point, the tunnel gets a bit larger and opens on a minuscule natural room that must be 5 by 10 feet. There's a tunnel above you that goes straight up, with some water dipping from it, and the tunnel you were in continues across the "room". It is large enough, though, to stand up and swap positions if needed.
The spiders continue to press on, and only Mee'haïl stands between you and that massive swarm. Sedror, you get in there first while Tianni does her best to wiggle in the tunnel with her heavy armor. What do you do?
OOC:
Mee'haïl, the spiders attacks is done with advantage as stated before, but the advantage is negated by your focus on defense.

Rolls

Spiders attack > Mee'haïl (piercing dmg) - (1d20+3, 1d4-1)

1d20+3 : (2) + 3 = 5

1d4-1 : (4) - 1 = 3

Dwarf, if you’ll swap with me, let me take the lead.

I can definitely handle anyone that comes close, and you can still do...whatever it is that you do.

She grips her shield tight, and she takes the gesture to step ahead of the pack.

She then says, Now, where to go from here?

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+1)

(6) + 1 = 7

Survival (to track anything that may have come through here) - (1d20+1)

(10) + 1 = 11

"Oh, yes, do lead the way." Bug says with a mocking reverence, still watching anxiously over his shoulder. "You've no idea what you're after or where you're going, but you wanna keep on running? Look out, sister, all you're in-for is getting more tangled."
Sep 29, 2018 3:38 pm
Tianni, hearing this from the annoying squishy person that she and Mihe saved, says, Tread carefully, Bug, before you get squished. Or left behind...
Sep 29, 2018 3:53 pm
Where to go? It's just one tunnel! Keep moving!

Sedror allows Bug and Tianni to pass him. He pulls out a clay jug of oil and starts pouring on the walls and floor of the tunnel before it opens into their little room, trailing the last bit to work as a short fuse so he can put fire to the area while Mee'haïl retreats.

He then conjures a flame in his open palm and waits for Mee'haïl to pass the oily area before shooting the trail.
Sep 29, 2018 4:53 pm
"Holy hells, Dwarf.." Bug mutters as he watches the Sedror fix to immolate the entire tunnel behind them.

Bug will continue to listen/look out for danger ahead.

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+1)

(16) + 1 = 17

Mee'haïl avdances a bit slower than you do, being busy fighting for all your lives.
OOC:
Waiting for his input a bit.

Rolls

Spiders attack > Mee'haïl (piercing dmg) - (1d20+3, 1d4-1)

1d20+3 : (17) + 3 = 20

1d4-1 : (1) - 1 = 0

OOC:
Well, he's breathing heavily, but keeps the swarm at bay :)

As soon as Mee'haïl enters the larger part of the tunnel Sedror, who has been waiting for him with a flame in his hand, shoots it past the barbarian and right into the spiders... and the oil! The flame hits the ground, burning some spiders in the process, and then there's a big WOOF!
OOC:
Mee'haïl, make a DEX saving throw (DC 10) to avoid taking damage for the small explosion!
A bright and hot fire start where your companion was standing a second before. You hear spiders shrieking and kill those who cross the fire to end, burning, on your end. The fire radiates a welcome warmth into this dark cavern, but also gives off a thick foul smelling smoke. Most of that smoke goes up in the damp tunnel, but some of it goes your way. You can try to resist it (CON save) or hold your breath until the fire stops (standard rules).
[ +- ] Rule: holding breath
OOC:
Reminder of the order in the tunnel (can be changed until you leave that larger part):
Tianni, Bug, Sedror, Mee'haïl (fire) (spiders)

Rolls

Fire dmg if save failed > Mee'haïl - (1d4)

(4) = 4

Oct 1, 2018 1:41 pm
Tianni attempts to resist.

Rolls

Constitution saving throw - (1d20+1)

(17) + 1 = 18

Haha! Burn ya little biters!

Sedror gives a quick cheer before continuing through the tunnel.
OOC:
that marching order is fine with me. I'll just hold my breath. Thanks for posting the rules reference!

His surprised protests are choked with coughs, Bug continues to follow quickly through the tunnel while desperately trying to hold his breath!
Oct 3, 2018 9:12 am
I attempt to dodge the flames... But receive the full brunt of it as my reaction was somewhat slow because of the limited visibility and almost no warning.
OOC:
I'll calculate Mih's current HP a bit later

OOC:
Current team's HP:
Tianni 9/11
Mee'hail 11/15
Bug 8/8
Sedor 11/11

Full party tracker available here.
The dwarf's plan is surprisingly effective and, even if Mee'haïl suffered some burns in the process, the whole group is probably relieved to once again put fire between you and the spiders. You quickly cross the natural room to squeeze once again into the small tunnel.

Mee'haïl, you see the reassuring light of the fire for some time, until the tunnels makes enough zigzagging to hide it entirely. Then, unless someone provides light, it's pitch black again and you must rely on your other senses.
Tianni, you spot as you advance in the tunnel that there are spider tracks in this tunnel. Not a lot of them, but it is definitely used at least daily by big spiders. There also are cobwebs, but of a kind that matches "normal" spiders: being first, they slowly gather all over your armor and regularly get caught in your horns and hair. It's uncomfortable, but not enough to slow you.

You continue to advance in the tunnel. There are passages here and there that go up and down, but they are way too small for you. You continue to follow that path for a while, going up and down and starting to wonder if it even has another end. Those of you who are not used to narrow tunnel start to be uncomfortable, then almost claustrophobic. Meeting one of those big spider things in here would be a disaster...

But at some point Tianni spots a large passage one your right side. You can hear humanoid voices, probably coming from that opening. As you get closer, you can see that part of the tunnel collapsed into some kind of cave and that someone seems to be giving orders. You can't discern what is being told unless you get closer, but if you do so you'll need to be quite : you don't want to be spotted in that position!

The tunnel continues after the opening, going up and on the left.
OOC:
All those who want to move forward, roll stealth with advantage.
Oct 8, 2018 4:03 pm
OOC:
Since Tianni typically gets disadvantage from her armor, just a regular stealth roll for her.
She also tries to train her ears to see if she can understand the orders being barked as she walks up.

Rolls

Stealth - (1d20)

(15) = 15

Oct 8, 2018 7:18 pm
Sedror slows his pace cautiously as he overhears voices, and quietly whispers for Mee'hail to do the same.

Rolls

Stealth - (1d20+4)

(7) + 4 = 11

As above. Advantage - (1d20+4)

(3) + 4 = 7

As soon as we were not in the immediate danger, I sheathed my axe and took out one more torch to get me some light. But as soon as we start to hear voices, I put it down low to avoid giving away our location.
OOC:
Is there any semblance of light up ahead?
Oct 9, 2018 8:04 am
Mee'haïl lows his torch down, making a low but warm ambient light in that cold tunnel. You are unable to discern any kind of light around, though.
OOC:
Waiting for Mee'haïl's stealth check to move on.

OOC:
Not very stealthy guy...

Rolls

Stealth - (1d20+1, 1d20+1)

1d20+1 : (10) + 1 = 11

1d20+1 : (1) + 1 = 2
