Bartholomew lashes out with his sword at a cultist.

Rolls

Long sword - (1d20+6, 1d8+4)

1d20+6 : (15) + 6 = 21

1d8+4 : (5) + 4 = 9

Jul 17, 2018 1:04 pm
The cultist turns to run and Bartholomew's sword cuts him across his throat. He takes another step forward before falling to the ground as the rest the invaders flee.

Bartholomew steps back into the Sally Port and a load ROAR is heard from above and the keep itself begins to shake. Bart turns around just in time to see pieces of the keep parapet fall to the ground in front of the Sally Port where BArt was standing just seconds before. The rubble effectively closed off the Sally Port. However screams and shouting can be heard from outside the room you are in.

"This gate is safe for now, let's check on the others too see if that dragon has caused more damage. Archers ready the skies." Kel dashes back into the keep, dodging debris dust raining from the ceiling.

Harold sheathes his weapons, grabs his bow, notches an arrow, and heads in the same direction that Kel is indicating.

You enter back into the courtyard of the keep and are met by the sound of shouting, followed by a line of blue Lightning at the top of the keep walls followed now by screams. The keep itself quakes and you see the blue dragon fly directly overtop.

Harold says, Find some villagers. We are getting out of here!

He looks around to find some people attempting to flee.

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+4)

(15) + 4 = 19

Jul 24, 2018 4:38 pm
Bartholomew looks at the dragon with awe and respect. "Magnificent isn’t it? These poor folk have no chance against such a beast. I agree with Harold, we must save as many villagers as possible. Perhaps there is shelter?" He addresses the group, not really expecting anyone to have more answers than him.

"This way," bellows Rabal in a strangely calm, booming voice. He gestures toward the broad stairwell before summoning a cloud of swamp mist to cover their retreat.
OOC:
Fog Cloud, please.

Kel considers taking a shot at the dragon, curiosity and a burning rage struggling for revenge on the beast. But he knows that to draw it's full attention may cost dozens their lives.

He brings his teeth as he follows Rabal, watching for villagers they can herd assist.

Before any of you have a chance to act further you feel waves of fear come over you upon seeing the dragon. (Everyone make A wisdom saving throw)

Watching, you can tell that the dragonappears to be only reluctantly attacking the towers and can likely be driven off with a good hit or two, unwilling to risk his own skin. However, any successful attack that doesn't drive him off is likely to focus his quite lethal attention on you. Driving him off now would save hundreds of lives and the surviving guards would make life that much more difficult for the cultists. What do you want to do?"

Frightened by the dragon, Harold will rush away from the dragon, darting around any corner to get out of the dragon's line of sight.

So 4 characters and 6 rolls and no one can muster greater than a 9? You have to wonder about this dice roller.
