*nudges at Oraten*
Jun 20, 2018 1:57 am
Oraten appears to be locked in a trance and unresponsive.

The last kobold steps forward and stabs at Bartholomew...the small creature manages to get through Bart’s defenses and manages to just barely make contact (-3)

The humanoid mumbles a few words and makes a hand movement and a divine energy glows about him for a moment before fading. He then changes his focus and continues moving his hands and directions his words now at Kel.

OOC:
Actaeon make a wisdom save DC12. On a fail you must choose a new target or lose the action.

Harold’s arrow finds its mark and makes quick work of the final kobold.

The combined effort of Bartholomew and Rabal finds the Drake lying charred, bloodied and lifeless on the ground.

The arrow passes through the magical barrier and strikes the acolyte in the throat. Gurgling for just a moment before collapsing.
OOC:
combat is technically over but the sally port door is currently broken and wide open. There is risk of more raiders entering through at this time.
Everyone can take an action
Jun 21, 2018 2:34 am
"Elminster's balls, that was brisk." Kel peers out the sally door for more marauders. "Any of you stalwart fellows versed in door dweomers?"
Jun 21, 2018 4:11 pm
Harold wants to figure out if there is anything that can be done to deter future entry from this sally port.
OOC:
DAMN! DAMN!

The tall shaman summons a spectral hand that floats out to the gate and begins to attempt closing the doors, one at a time.

"Protect the village first..." he murmurs.

Can anyone cast a mending spell on that door? I am not magically inclined...
Jun 22, 2018 4:07 pm
Bartholomew shrugs. "I can break doors", he offers unhelpfully.
Jun 22, 2018 6:16 pm
The Crowheart raises an eyebrow at Harold's words, perhaps wondering how someone with only martial training could know about such things.

Then, looking to the problem at hand, he raises his arms and gestures wildly, chanting deep, rhythmic syllables over and over, until gradually, the roots and vegetation, hiding beneath the soil and flagstones of the old courtyard, begin to reach up from the ground nearest the gates. From here, they climb and writhe, horribly, hungrily, reaching up and across, intertwining themselves through and around the split and shattered boards of the doors, weaving them together with tight bands of vines and twisted branches. The woody, black growth rapidly develops verdant leaves and soon covers the whole sally port, as though it were a huge, decorative trellis.
OOC:
Entangle used creatively. Unfortunately, as strong is it most certainly will be, it is not at all permanent. The door needs real repairs done fast...

OOC:
can you describe where you wish to cast the 20 foot square?
Jun 23, 2018 10:53 am
Rabal directs the vines to grow up under the door and climb up the outside surface, leaving the inside faces of the door accessible for repairs, barring, or a mending enchantment.
OOC:
The twenty foot square could be placed directly under and behind the sally port, plugging up the space between the port and the outside world. Someone else will have to find someone to assist with the door as Rabal must concentrate.
