I'm looking for one or two players to join this game (details in the
original post).
THE STORY SO FAR
A diverse group of strangers was hired by the Boardroom, a major network that often acts as a front for mega-corps that don't want their involvement with certain actions known publicly. They were tasked with recovering a data cache that had been held for ransom by a terrorist organization. The data cache had been pulled from orbit around Earth and grounded in the middle of the Black Desert, one of Earth's former seas.
Half of the group (Fidget, wearing a small rodent-like sheathe, and Prios Bon, the smartest person ever in the history of at least him) survived the trip from their dropship to the cache. Along the way, they were joined by Ilex, trapped in the ruins of an underground city for longer than I can remember because I forgot.
Together, they boosted the cache back into orbit, but upon their arrival back at the orbital they'd originally launched from, they discovered they'd been working for the group supposedly holding the cache hostage in the first place. Forming an ad hoc alliance with a SecNet officer, they're now fabricating an escape from the orbital that started seeming all too real when a group of SecNet security mechs opened fire on them in the landing bay.
WHAT I NEED
One to two players that can post several times a week. You will come into the game either joining the assault on the mechs, or already on the ship as prisoners for some low-level crime (possibly erroneously). Either way, you'll be wanting to escape too, and joining this group IS the best option.
PLAYER OPTIONS
You can pick one of the following classes:
- The Adept eschews technology, relying on his ancient martial arts and weapon training to survive.
- The Gatekeeper uses his wormhole generator to make his allies more mobile and turn the battlefield into a death trap for enemies.
- The Glitch breaks the laws of physics to be in more than one place at once.
- The Junker is a fearsome fighter who is used to taking on odds that aren't in his favor.
- The Psiblade uses the brute force power of his mind to fight, summoning a weapon made of psionic energy.
- The Vector takes a more nuanced approach to his psionic abilities, warping reality with his mind.
- The Zerker overloads his numerous cybernetic attachments to be an unstoppable killing machine.
Each class will come with a selection of sheaths. These replace traditional races in d20 games. I'll be sending you the combinations of sheath/class that I need tested.
If you'd like to combine two of these classes, multiclassing is available, although these rules are not final yet and may result in the character needing to be rerolled.
