The Dreaming Ward

As you move swiftly toward the door it slams shut. Glancing back, the sea of rats flows from the ever growing hole in the crumbling plaster and start to move toward you, whiskers twitching with anticipation of the meal ahead. Grabbing the handle you turn and pull, but it doesn't move. The first few rats reach you and scramble up your legs, and under your gown. Suddenly the door opens and you are back in an empty room, the wall no longer cracked.

Corbitt grins mockingly and waves a hand. Suddenly your words stop, your mouth held closed. Reaching to your face you feel stitches holding your lips together and trying to open them causes intense pain. Corbitt laughs that familiar mocking laugh, levitates into the air and float face down above you.

As you step forward, he draws a familiar wicked looking obsidian knife from a wound in his leg. It drips blood onto the white marble floor, "Join me," he whispers.

Nothing. He lies naked, except the robe now tied around his head. Even the knife is now gone.

"Then you will go to hell!" The figure launches himself at you, knife flailing and it's all you can do to fight him off.

Corbitt's descent on Larry seems incredibly slow and terrifying. As Larry tries to move his arms to fight him off, he finds them held by invisible bonds, unable to move. As the horrific body almost makes contact, Larry wakes up, screaming.

You fight off the figure, pushing him back. He disappears into the thin air and you find yourself back in an empty room, lying on your bed.

After some time, you hear footsteps walking back along the hall. You spot Celia walking past, seemingly sleepwalking, closely followed by Thorne. He glances through your door and walks past without a word.

You hear a sudden scream coming from Celia's room next door.
