OOC:
Well @Peas put his answer in plain sight so even though I think I had it, it's probably not going to count. It's okay, I'd rather roleplay Ronda than compete.
Ronda hasn't gotten over her irritation at the bears. And now this new riddle. With obvious reluctance and annoyance she consents to the blindfold. "What the fuck is a Roman?!" she barks.

... Woops. I think I messed up the formatting. Is it hidden now?

OOC:
@Tomas: it is hidden now.

You hear Alik's voice again You may remove your blindfolds now. We have a winner.

You hear the sound of a drumroll. After a few moments a six-foot tall grandfather clock appears on the pedastal. The cabinet is rosewood; its side inlaid with ebony and ivory in a lattice pattern. The four feet are encased in platinum.

The face is bright white with black serpentine hands pointing to the Roman numerals. The face is covered by a glass door with a platinum rim. Beneath the face door is a sliding door four inches high (its "mouth").

The intricate gears, also platinum, shine through a glass door under the sliding door. Below the gears section is a base compartment to hold a small keg for alcoholic spirits. A tube runs up behind the gears area to a small shelf behind the sliding door. At the end of the tube is a nozzled dispenser for those who want a "mighty cheer."

Hidden within each lattice pattern is a small hole, one to catch the first rays of dawn and the other to catch the final sunlight of the day. When the light enters each hole at the appropriate time, the ringing chimes give notice to all within range.

Congratulations! You know who you are. Alik says with a wink.
Now for your final challenge.

Another door opens and you enter what appears to be a lady's dressing chamber, but there is no bed, just a massive vanity unit, complete with a looking glass. There is also a wardrobe filled with an odd arrangement of clothes.
On the other side of the chamber you see a massive, steel door. On the door you see a gaint lock. It looks very intricate, expensive and well made.

At the vanity unit you see:
Red lipstick.
Blush (Red, green, blue, and pink)
Eye liner (Red, green, brown, blue, yellow and black)
One bottle of makeup remover. (The label says: caution, only works once!)

In the wardrobe you see some clothes in various shapes and styles obviously made for different races and different genders. You also see a strange collection of headbands:
One has elf ears on it.
One has gnome ears on it.
One has orc ears on it.
One has two tiefling horns on it.
One has halfling ears on it.
One has human ears on it.

See you on the other side, Alik says with a wink and then vanishes.

What do you do?

Stalwart shrugs. Wizards, he thinks, then moves close to the steel door. "We will have to work together on this one, same as we did on the first."

Stalwart studies the keyhole to determine if it would fit a humanoid that matches the size of the one or more of the races corresponding to the headbands.

Rolls

Studying the keyhole (Perception) - (1d20+2)

(7) + 2 = 9

Dec 1, 2018 10:36 am
@Stalwart: Unfortunately, you don't get anything from your time spent studying the keyhole.

Yorrick walks over to the table and grabs the makeup remover. How powerful do you guys think this stuff is? I don't see a puzzle here. Maybe we just need to break the lock.
Dec 1, 2018 6:44 pm
"Woah, that's cool. I don't think I ever would have guessed that."

Tomas moves over to the clock and pokes it - to see if it's really real or just an image.

In the next room, Tomas is right behind Yorrick - the first to step forward. He follows the curious man to the vanity unit.

"What are we breaking the lock with, Yorrick? Something in your pouches?" asks Tomas. While there, he looks at himself in the mirror. It feels like it's been a lifetime ago since he saw himself in a proper one. Not since leaving the Sapphire Isles. He hopes he looks different - it would be bad if people could recognize him. To that end, he's tried to embrace his human side - growing out his beard, like his new companion Stalwart - but the process was a slow one. Maybe it looked better than it felt, though...

Umm... I don't have anything specifically prepared for such a task. I have my alchemy kit, but that is only filled with pretty standard acids and things of that nature. That lock looks pretty tough. I was hoping that this would be the key.

He holds up the makeup remover, pops the top and takes a whiff, trying to figure out the nature of it.
OOC:
The roll is 1d20+Int+Alchemist's Supplies Proficiency. It would be +3 more if I am allowed to use wisdom over Int due to his trial and error nature.

With that roll, it probably won't matter.

Well, my rolling isn't great still, but the advantage check may give me something.

Herod decides, Perhaps the vanity is enchanted?

Herod thinks for a minute.

He did say ‘see you on the other side’.

Perhaps we need to do our best to look like him in the mirror, and then step on through.

Does Herod see any clothes that either look like Alik’s, or like anyone’s in this party?
Dec 1, 2018 11:21 pm
@Herod: investigation check please

@Yorrick: I'd like you to use int but, as you have alchemist supplies you have advantage on the roll, so you may roll again. Also, please give me an arcana check.

OOC:
I added them to the first post. I realize now that I should have put them here so people would get notifications. This post is for the notification.

"Perhaps when Alik said, 'see you on the other side', he was referring to the looking glass. Anyone want to give me a hand seeing what's back there?"

Stalwart inspects the mirror, especially the back if he can get to it.
OOC:
Stalwart has no bonus for Investigation so an extra pair of eyes would be helpful.

Is there a seat next to the mirror?
Dec 2, 2018 9:27 pm
@Moon: Yes, there is a seat next to the mirror.
Dec 3, 2018 12:31 am
@Yorrick: The make-up remover is not acidic, at least it doesn't give off an acrid smell. You put a little kn your hand and it has a similar texture to soap. You doubt that it would melt anything.

@Stalwart: You check the mirror and vanity unit for secret compartments but you don't find any.

@Herod: You try to look for some wizards' robes that match Alik's. Unfortunately, you get distracted by some very attactive looking clothes.

I sit down next to the mirror and look at my reflection, half expecting for it to be someone else...
