Chapter 3

@Stalwart: It is definitely magical. You think that this is probably some kind of transportation magic. You suddenly remember the Fey using something similar when they travel between the realms. Then the memory slips away. You now think that the barrier is a transportation spell but you're not sure how you know that.

Stalwar and Herod move through the barrier and disappear.

@Yorrick: As soon as you put on the headband you feel strange, you feel confident. You feel power begin to flow through you. It is a dark, corrupt kind of power but power none-the-less. As you feel it begin to take over you, you feel a burning sensation in your chest. You look down and see that your necklace has begun to glow with a white hot light. In a moment the dark energy is forced from your body like poison drawn from a wound. It hurts like hell.

After an indeterminate, agonizing period of time. The pain fades away. You take a moment to consider what happened. Your body is unchanged. You definitely felt the dark power and the confidence that came with it but whatever that power was, it was clearly no match for the power contained within your necklace.

Moon, Stalwart, Herod and I believe Yorrick have left the room. Just waiting on Ronda, Arwen and Tomas.

I'll give Arwen and Ronda abother 24 hours and then I'll move us along.

You leave the chamber and find that everything you took with you from the extra dimension has vanished. However, Herod still looks like an orc, Stalwart a human and Tomas an elf. Everything else remains unchanged.

Standing before you is a human wizard with a lomg beard. He appears to be in his middle years, somewhere between 40-55. Although, it is difficult to determine his age by his appearance.
He claps his hands as you approach.
Welcome friends. And such good sports too! He turns to Moon
You won the competition. Usually a magic user does and I give them a spell scroll as a present but I don't think you can actually use magic can you? So what could an old wizard like me offer as some kind of compensation? Gold? Knowledge?

Ruins? I haven't heard of any in these parts but the lands to the north are wild and mostly unexplored. Tombs I know of. The lands to the south east are very dangerous and should not be travelled by the unprepared. There is a monestary to the South East of here called the Order of the Silver Flame. The monestary was established to keep watch over the northern barrow downs, an ancient burial site of kings of old. The order has slowly been consecrating the downs in an attempt to contain the living dead who have been active in the area for centuries. Rumor has it that the dead have been quite restless of late and have even attacked a trade caravan.

Then he turns to the rest of you.
Now, what trouble brings you to my doorstep?
