It seems that your trust is well placed as Oli appears to know every plant and animal as she navigates your way back to Berda flawlessly, even managing to make up for the time you lost when you got lost looking for her grove.
So good is Oli at navigating, you manage to avoid all of the dangers, animal and otherwise, and arrive back at Berda without incident.
Upon your arrival you see that the town is busy preparing for a siege. A massive half orc is supervising the majority of the residents as they dig a defensive ditch, with the goal of diverting a small river to create a moat. You see that a wooden palisade has been erected around the small town. It is obviously new as you can still smell the glue holding it all together.
The wood of the wall and dozen or so buildings inside the town is black, the signature of the Berda wood, a very strong wood, which the town is named after.
Ronda leads you into The Hunter's Mark, the Inn, where she knows the defence is being organised.
You see two marines dressed in red uniforms guarding the entrance to the inn, but you all pass through without a problem as the guards seem to recognise Ronda.
In the common room of the inn you see that one of the large tables has a map of the area and behind the table you see a woman in a similar uniform to the marines reading through several papers.
As you enter she looks up from her papers, raises an eyebrow, smiles as she recognises Ronda and says
Ronda? Good to see you. Report? you're not entirely sure whether that last word was a question or an order.
OOC:
@RondaYou will remember that this is Ms. Bella Fraught, lieutenant of the marines and she has taken charge of the defence of the town.
On a side note. Thank you for your patience everyone. My partner just got back last night, so we should be fine to continue from now on.
