OOC:
Asynchronous strategy is difficult, but here goes . .
According to Quora, it takes six hours for the average person to dig a grave that is 6 foot deep. Assuming an opening of 3 foot by 6 foot, we have a volume of 216 square feet. So, in one hour's time, one person should be able to dig a pit that has a volume that is one-sixth of that, or 36 square feet.
Our pit trap doesn't have to be that deep -- just disrupting the horses's movement and dismounting the riders would be enough given our time constraints. So one person can dig a pit 2 foot deep by 9 feet wide by 2 foot long. Ronda can dig this one on the path that the scouts will take on the beach. If the path is wider than 9 feet, this pit can be 1 foot deep by 18 feet wide by 2 feet long instead.
Stalwart will spend his time using his woodcarving skills to make spikes for the pit trap.
Yorrick, Moon, and Nyx can position traps to funnel the riders toward the pit trap.
Duke can dig another pit for the party to hide in that has is 6 foot long by 2 foot wide by 3 foot deep. However, Nyx and Moon probably want to hide elsewhere using their skills.
What does everyone think of this plan? Is anyone unaccounted for? Does the math make sense?
