FYI, I don't mean to be difficult. The party is already outnumbered against mounted troops. There is no need to reveal themselves until more of the scouts are in close range. The mission fails if the scouts can just ride around us without consequences.
As for moving around you, orcs are notoriously bllodthirsty. You doubt they would back away from a fight unless the odds were significantly against them.

Stalwart reaches out with his thorn whip and pulls one of the orcs into the trap. It screams out in pain and rage but it doesn't appear to have been killed.
Ronda rushes up to the other orc near the put and slams her fists into it. The rest of you miss with your attacks.
The leader of the orcs yells something to the others.
