Urthask nods, drawing his sword.
OOC:
Is the door big enough to enter mounted? Can Arktos fit at all?
Jan 14, 2019 7:04 pm
OOC:
Arktos can squeeze through the doorway if you want to take him in :)
Jan 15, 2019 4:48 pm
Seeing Urthask glance back and forth between Arktos and the door to the house, I would suggest Arktos stay outside for this one, he would be more useful to us watching our backs than trying to squeeze through that door.
OOC:
If Urhtask agrees He will proceed into the house. Looking around to see if anything is going to attack them.

"Arktos, pelos." Urthask commands, and follows Gongar through the door. The bear rumbles its displeasure but obeys, standing guard outside the door.

As you open the door, you are greeted by a ghastly sight. The whole place is a wreck; furniture is shattered, blood covers the walls, and the corpse of a slightly older man lays on the table, shirt ripped open to display the familiar seven-pointed star carved into the flesh. Pinned to the torn remains of his tunic is a note, written in a familiar hand and a key with the Foxglove family crest on it.

Bugger this mystery and foul deeds! Gongar exclaims as he reads the note. Looks like we are due for a visit to the Foxglove estate now for sure. Lets check the rest of the area in case there are any filthy undead left in this place.

"We are being toyed with. I grow weary of this game!" Urthask growls as he follows Gongar's lead checking the place for stray undead.

Looking through the rest of the home, you don't find any more undead monsters, but you do find a small chest underneath a loose floorboard in the bedroom. It is locked.
Jan 22, 2019 2:41 am
Shadow, could you work your specific kind of magic on this beauty?
Jan 23, 2019 2:35 pm
Shadow, after just a few moments of work, manages to pop the lid of the chest open. Inside are 34 bags, each containing 100 silver pieces.
Jan 23, 2019 4:29 pm
Does it seem to anyone else that this is an excessive amount of silver for a farmer to have stashed under his floorboards?
Jan 24, 2019 2:40 pm
"That is quite an understatement, my friend. I fear the purpose of this cache might be tied up with this whole murder and undead business. Shall be bring it back to the sheriff?"

I believe that is the best course of actions.
OOC:
Is there anything left here at the farmhouse to investigate or can we head back to town?
Jan 25, 2019 4:08 pm
OOC:
You pretty much checked it all out. You would also know that Foxglove Manor is only a few hours from here.

OOC:
Is Foxglove on the other side of Sandpoint or are we closer to investigating the manor and would waste time going back to town?

OOC:
Foxglove Manor is on this side of town, but heading back wouldn't be a hugely wasted trip. It might be a good idea to let the sheriff and mayor what's going on in case you die :P

OOC:
34 bags? I'm quite sure there were only 33.
