Looking up from his current drawing Ink blinks through his glasses at the other gnome. What is not well my friend? He rises to his feet and walks over to the window with Tixhin. What coarse of action should we take? What are those people doing down there?

Seeing the people wandering about and recalling the previous days run ins with the undead, Bacta uses his primeval awareness to see what he can detect from the cities curious site.

All - Tixhin shrugs to Eldobik, Looks like the large groups are sometimes chasing down individuals in the streets. scratching at his chin, I am unsure what this could mean, but I presume it has something to do with those monstrosities we dealt with. If that is the case, that would mean there are a few thousand down there.

Bacta you sense that there is undead present.

Bacta nods in confirmation, Yes, it would seem the city has been overrun with the undead. Are we prepared to clear the city? That seems to be what we should do right?

Readying my blades and adjusting my armor, I run to the window to look at what's happening to my city! Of course that's what we should do! Quick, everyone gets ready!
Does anyone let me watch through his spyglass? I'll try to spot anything that would look like a noticeable pattern in the undeads' moments, or see what place appears to be in need for our help.

I do not want to tell you that you are wrong my friends, however, that is a whole city worth of undead. We are only a handful of bodies against thousands. Perhaps the best we could do at the moment would be to close the city gates, walling the undead inside. Thus we contain the issue until we have a bigger force with us that we could take back the city. He begins to twirl a pointed metal stick with ink stains on one end as he speaks.

What about survivors? Lets try to get closer to the city and see if we can spot anything...the undead shouldn't be able to reach us from here.

Does it look like some zombies got into the city, or is it more like the whole city has been turned into zombies?
Nov 6, 2018 2:36 pm
I do not wish to leave the survivors friend Bacta, I however do not see much likely-hood in our surviving if we rush into the city. Perhaps we scout the city from our Airship as we move around the city closing the gates, should we see survivors we then attempt what we can to mount a rescue. The metallic stick twirling elegantly between his fingers, Ink begins to Count the number of gates the city has. I'm concerned that there may have been a number of the undead that escaped the walls before we got here... if that is the case we will have this problem on a far larger scale.

Fine, lets circle the city and see what we can see upon closer inspection. Then close the gates best we can, or find someway to keep those abominations locked inside.

All - Circling the city several times you are able to grasp the dire situation. The undead have nearly overwhelmed the city, you observe several people who are cought by the horde witnessing their gruesome demise, only for them to join the unholy mob minutes later. The worst of the city is the Cathedral. All the doors and windows are blocked, but the entire building is swarmed by undead trying to break in. Tixhin looks appalled, This cant be right. There is no way something can spread like this naturally.

Everyone roll perception checks (Beeton gets a temporary +2 to this roll.)

As I notice the cathedral has been barricaded, I quickly deduce that there must be people to rescue in there: The Cathedral has been used as a shelter by survivors! They need our help, can we park the ship over it and help them out ? How many people can this ship carry over, like, a mile?
OOC:
I forgot the temporary +2, so that's 20.

Rolls

Perception (expertise) - (1d20+4)

(14) + 4 = 18

Inks eyes begin to water watching the poor souls who loose their lives to the mob. He averts his eyes the next time it happens.

Rolls

Perception - (1D20+1)

(4) + 1 = 5

Perhaps we can drop some ropes down the rescue people

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+4)

(10) + 4 = 14

While that's a good start, no kid, elder or injured people could climb up that rope without help. I start to look a little bit desperate at the perspective that, while we are safe and near them, we could be unable to save most of those who need us down there...
And then an idea pops in my head: How about a large and solid piece of cloth? We attach it to some ropes and people get in that giant sack. It will be uncomfortable as hell and people will walk on eachother's head, but it's only for a short distance. We'll land at a reasonable but safe distance outside the city. Maybe they can even help to close the city's doors!

We could hoist people up in the sack...get as many as we can, women and children first.

Looking back out the window at the church Ink Shudders. Friends, I am the smallest and lightest. Send me down in our sack hoist. I can inform the people inside of our plan and help get them loaded onto out vessel. Shuddering again as he speaks the thought aloud. Let us get to work on our contraption.
