Hey new folks, welcome again and don't get alarmed if things are a little slow on the threads, seems like we have a few players and the DM with some real-life demands taking their time right now, but rest assured things will probably pick up soon.
If anyone feels like having some fun and introducing your characters and like a bit of creative writing, feel free to add some of your diaries to the PC Notes & Journal Thread, you'll see I've tried my hand (and pen) with that as well.
As far as Pathfinder, this is also my first game using the system (although I'm very familiar with D&D in general), sofar I find it a lot more detailed but also (logically) a bit less easy to wield as the 5th edition: a LOT of rules about a lot of things ! But rest easy, the learning curve has been very smooth sofar (and I reckon the others can back me on that...?).
Main things to remember in combat: in this system Dexterity mod doesn't apply to ranged weapons damage (as it does in 5e), non-lethal combat rolls attacks with a -4 (making it a little harder when you choose to overpower an opponent instead of actually killing him/her), and a bunch of other stuff remains closer to the 3.5 edition than the more fluid and a little more generic rules of 5e.
In doubt, ask LadyBrash our august DM, who will be more than happy to clear things for you.
Enjoy and see y'all soon in-game !
