OOC:
That's right. I've edited to reflect tis fact.

Breezy looks on in awe at the efficiency and sheer brutality administered by his companions on the undead creatures. For the first time in a very long time, he allows a slight smile to cross his lips. Knocking another bolt, he raises his light-rock and moves to the north tunnel to see what lies in that direction.

"Thisss?" he says, lifting his light to the north. "Or that?" he then gestures to the south.

Keavan shrugs.
"Do we have any way to determine which is better? If not, then I would say North first."
Sep 26, 2018 9:58 am
From the shadows, softer than usual, comes Vardo's 2 copper pieces. "I would be happy to scout each out to see if I can gain any information to help in the decision."
Sep 26, 2018 8:46 pm
"Scouting is a good idea. Be careful!"
Sep 26, 2018 9:03 pm
Vardo gives a wink and a grin as he shoulders his bow, slides his rapier from its sheathe, and glides toward the northern passage, "There's no fun in 'careful'".
OOC:
Vardo heads into the northern passage, keeping to the shadows along the right hand wall.

"Proceeding is all well and good but can we note this?" Having made sure that the zombies were thoroughly destroyed, Yohna had missed the majority of the conversation. Instead, she approached the slab in the centre, running her hand across the bloodstain to test its freshness.

"This certainly doesn't bode well. It's clearly some sort of altar. The bad kind."

Yohna

The bloodstain is dry and seems to be old.

Vardo

Vardo finds that the northern passage ends in a smaller cavern. Inside, he can see about dozen humanoid corpses propped up against the walls of this cavern, dressed in dirty clothes or scraps of old armor. Some are little more than skeletons with wisps of hair and skin stretched tightly over their bones. Others are fresher. A few old shortswords lie on the dusty floor. There are no other exits. It seems to be a dead end.

Vardo takes stock of the layout of the room from the shadows. He makes a quick count of the figures occupying the room, noting some details of their dress and rate of decomposition, before returning to the group. Up his return he gives a full report of his findings and pauses to see what Yohna has discovered before attending to the other passage.

OOC:
Tsavo, can you roll for stealth again for the southern passage?

Hearing the account of what lies to the North, Breezy stands there with his light, keeping a watchful eye should anything come from that direction.

Breezy

Breezy sees nothing but stays vigilant while Vardo heads down south.

Vardo

This narrow passage is about ten feet high and the irregular walls are stained with what looks like dried blood. After about 60 feet, the passage ends in another cavern. The cavern has many crevice along its walls. There are pair of passages to the south, one on the southwestern side, another southeastern side.

In this dark cavern, Vardo thinks he catches a movement in a fissure close to the northern entrance, though it's too narrow for any humanoids, or most creatures for that matter, to fit it.
Sep 28, 2018 12:07 am
Vardo again takes stock of the layout. He catches the motion, but not wanting to give away his presence, he decides to not investigate further. Cautiously, he slips back into the passage and slips through the shadows back to the central chamber and the rest of the group.

After explaining what he saw, he adds, "I'm fairly onvinces something is in that chamber. I'd suggest that if we want to go that way, we enter prepared for an ambush."

"If anyone wishes to investigate the bodies in the other chamber first, I'd be willing, but based on what we've been through so far, we should t be surprised if one or more of the corpses objects to being searched for items."

Breezy looks at Yohna, saying simply "Your god can dessstroy thessse creaturesss, yesss? The dead move ssslow. I vote we tessst their objection." as he nods his head back to the north tunnel.

OOC:
I'll assume everyone follows Breezy up the northern passage. If you want your character to stay behind or go somewhere else let me know. Also, I've retained the default marching order. At any time if you want to switch up let me know.

The description is same as before.

OOC:
Just a notice, Remus is away for the weekend. Dunno if he'll get a moment to post between his itinerary. He'll be back late Sunday.
Yohna gives an awkward sigh."I'll confess, it's not quite a technique I've got to grips with yet. But I am obliged to destroy undeath in all its forms, so..." The cleric follows the group down the tunnel, then places a hand on the leader's shoulder to halt them.

"Grant me sight..." She whispers.

OOC:
Okay thanks! Would you and Remus be cool with you controlling his character while he's away?
Yohna's divine vision alerts her to four of the skeletal remains surrounding the walls.

OOC:
Im at a music festival this weekend too. I’ll try to post, but if I’m slow, just assume acid splash and cautious movement.

OOC:
Okay no problem.

Also, why doesn't everyone roll initiative. I was waiting to see if Yohna wanted to do anything before the combat starts but it doesn't seem so.
