Chapter One - The Adventure Begins

Reacting instinctively, the wild half-human swings his hammer on the skulk standing on his right side, while attempting to maneuver himself so as to have his back towards the entrance and slowly retreat into the doorway.

As the wedge of his weapon connects with his opponent with a satisfying thud, the ranger gives out a triumphant, blood-curling scream: "Filth ! You'll regret having tested me this day...!" He then calls out to the rest of the group to warn them: "Over here ! Two of them here !" while watching his enemies' sharp blades darting to and fro, the air swooshing around him as he tries to keep himself away from harm's reach.
OOC:
Not sure how that translates in terms of game mechanics, but obviously Fhen will do his utmost to avoid being flanked or open himself to an attack of opportunity, all the while trading blows with both skulks while retreating into the doorway, so as to try and force them to face him one by one.

Dracone was standing, watching when he heard Fhenryl yell out. He turned and ran into the Barracks room with his companion to assist with the attack.

Toe dusts himself off thinking, "Should have turned it to the right." Just then he hears Fhenryl and Toe's attention is diverted. He charges toward Fhenryl.

Save for half damage. I rolled half, so you take the amount I rolled. Sorry for the confusion! Next time I will clarify in the text of the roll itself.

Fhenryl's warhammer slams into the torso of one of the skulks. You hear a sickening crack accompanying breaking ribs, and the creature cries out in pain. Fhenryl takes a measured step back as he battles the two creatures at once, positioning himself in the doorway so as to limit their access to his comrades beyond. Dracone and Toe rush in to his aid.

Rand moves towards the fight near Toe, keeps his sights on the entryway to the west. Closes his eyes and sends a burst of sunlight energy from himself.

" Let's finish this fight quick, no doubt others can hear!"

Jaqir moves across the room from the stairs, choosing to hold off on casting anything so long as the creatures are kept securely in the other room, rather than risk hitting his comrade.

Hearing his companions gather behind him to get into the fray, Fhenryl keeps swinging his hammer at the wounded skulk, now standing on his left flank, all the while doing his best to counter further attacks from the blue-skinned, rancid-looking creatures as he now retreats into the main chamber, hoping to free up some space for the rest of the crew to land their blows.
OOC:
Steps back through the doorway as he smashes his opponent's temple with a wicked, back-handed swing (DM: so, moving backwards a few steps, towards the north-west on the map, next to Dracone's marker, on the opposite side from the door from Toe's). Hopefully the second skulk is foolish enough to keep stepping through, in which case he's all yours, gentlemen... (-;

Fhenryl's hammer slams against the temple of the wounded skulk, who immediately falls limp and crumples to the floor. Fhenryl steps back out of the doorway, hoping to lure the other skulk out, but the creature looks frightened by the odds quickly mounting against him and begins eyeing the tunnel at the back of the room.

As Fhenryl backs into the large room, his adversary folows him to the doorway. Dracone decides to seize the opprotunity. He steps into the doorway and swings his Flail in a downward motion against the Foe in the hopes of taking him out immediately.

The remaining skulk's shoulder is crushed by Dracone's flail. Any remaining morale he might have had is gone, and the creature turns to flee down the tunnel at the back of the room.

Toe rushes after the skulk and attempts to trip it.
OOC:
If I have enough movement to get into melee with the skulk he'll try to trip the creature. If not, Toe will move as close as he can to the skulk.

Dropping his mace on the stone floor. Rand grabs a javelin from his back quiver and throws it after the Skulk.

Rand tosses a javelin at the retreating skulk, hoping to catch him in the back and prevent him from escaping. The javelin clatters into the wall just above the tunnel entrance just as Toe rushes in and trips the creature with a quick sweep of his blade.

I didn't give the skulk his attack of opportunity due to his hasty and unguarded retreat. Begin Round 3 -- Dracone & Fhenryl

Seeing his companion trip up the retreating creature, Dracone runs in and helps restrain the creature on the floor. Just as he approaches Dracone drops his flail on the floor and lands on top of him with his shield between himself and the creature he is restraining to avoid any sharp objects/claws.

Fhenryl takes a quick sprint past the nimble halfling and the armored knight - who's intent on crushing their now terrified-looking opponent in a surprise wrestling move - and takes position just a little ways to the side of the melee.

He looks at the jumble of armored and blue limbs flailing on the ground with a bored expression, then simply steps over the skulk and smashes the butt of his hammer handle on the creature's skull.

Just as Dracone manages to get a good hold on him so that Toe can tie him up, Fhenryl walks over and hits the creature hard in the head with the butt of his weapon. The skulk goes limp, unconscious.

As the excitement dies down, your attention begins to shift back to the environment -- the sounds in the mask room that seem to be pouring from the walls, the copper masks, the tiny barracks with its spiderweb-draped beds and tiny footlockers, and the two 5' diameter tunnels bored directly into the stone walls of the room.

Moving swiftly, Fhenryl leaves their prisoner to his companions' care and takes position at the mouth of the eastern tunnel, peering intently into the darkness and straining his ears to make sure that no more enemies are coming their way from that direction. While doing so, he swings his enormous crossbow from around his shoulder and cranks it up carefully, placing a menacing-looking, spikey bone-headed bolt into its shaft.
